  I am part of another group for spouses of alchoholics. My boyfriend and I are not married (obviously) but we've been together for two years and recently moved in together. My boyfriend has a drinking problem. He grew up with extremely abusive and narcissitc parents and dealt with so much growing up. His parents are some of the worst people I've ever met and treat me and him like garbage to a point where I have cut off contact completely.   I've been with my boyfriend for 2 years now. We recently moved in together and it's been great. He's such a good person (maybe a little immature but he's in his early twenties so..) and when he's not drinking he's a great partner! Unfortunately our relationship has been littered with situations where he has become aggressive and abusive when drunk. It's like Jekyl and Hyde and he's so inconsistent.
