  Thank you to the members that have replied to my posts. I was desperately alone. However, finding this group and reading others posts and replies has helped me so much. I still struggle with the shame and remorse, but just knowing I have somewhere to turn when it gets really bad gives me hope. Sometimes I write and don’t even post it! Just writing it out helps.

   Am I naïve to think that my husband and I can be close again after I’ve had an affair?  We are going to marriage therapy, I am being transparent with everything, and I have changed. I just get so overwhelmed with sadness sometimes when I think that I ruined us.
