  I'm curious.. Those of us who have made the decision to end the affair and recommit to our partners, how is your relationship now? What part of the process are you in? Sometimes it feels like we are only making progress on the surface. Like I've tarnished our marriage so badly it will never be the same again. This seems it will always be something weighing on our relationship. Maybe I'm just projecting, as I tend to do. We are scheduled for marriage counseling next week.

  My eight month affair was discovered about a month ago by my husband. His reaction was of course mostly anger at first. And there is still a lot of anger and pain. But mostly, he's forgiving. He's understanding. He's patient with my part of the process (I still work with AP)...His willingness to be so forgiving makes me feel like shit. Did anyone else experience this?
