I know the feeling. It doesn't happen so often anymore, but we once watched a show where the nurse "Evelyn" was having an affair with the main character's husband. It got the name and storyline perfect and I had to stop watching it.

Oh my gosh, I am happy you posted this because I watched the entire season and it made me feel sick to my stomach. I related so much to how that woman felt and living a double life almost. I was so worried about what would happen when she is finally caught by her patient (the ex boyfriend of the girl she's seeing.) Ugh, gives me anxiety!

I watched the whole season. It hit too close to home. It's difficult to watch the main character making decisions that could derail not only her life, but the lives of others, and to identify with her. I finished the season a few days ago, and it really put me into another brutal level of this whole process.

I'm happy (strangely) that I am not the only one who experience strong emotions—even anxiety—watching that show. I thought that I had dealt with things. It's been more than two years with NC, but I guess triggers are triggers because of something. Still, I too watched the entire season.

It wasn't just the double life, but also the themes about being free, genuine about my needs etc, that hit home.

What I am afraid of is that I am back to suppressing the needs that sent me wondering in the first place. ugh.
