  So I used to post here back when I thought I had gastritis so I hope it's OK if I still do. But...I was told I have dyspepsia by my GI doctor. GI doc gave me 40mg Prilosec that I've been on for a month now. I also take Pepcid AC 20mg often, mostly once in the evening if I have burning. I have been eating pretty bland since my GI doc didn't help with any diet questions, he just said "no spicy or acidic foods." ... thanks, doc!!Anyway, I have been eating lots of carbs :/ie: plain bagel/toast with...

  I don't know what to eat anymore!! I am looking at diet plans/lists online and some say it's OK to eat potatoes and white rice and other sites say to avoid. Same with bread and other carbs! My doctor didn't give me a plan at all. All he said was to not eat anything spicy or acidic.I had chicken for lunch with some cheddar cheese sprinkled on top for flavor.   So I thought I had gastritis (see my previous post). Went to my GI doctor (takes his time with you, got great reviews online, so I should trust him) and he assured me that I definitely don't have an ulcer. He doesn't even think it is gastritis. He diagnosed me with "nonulceric dyspepsia" which is just another word for indigestion. I thought indigestion was that super full feeling you get after eating?   For the past week, I have been experiencing burning in the stomach mainly above my belly button and on the left and right sides (on/off). Sometimes Tums and Pepcid AC works, sometimes it doesn't.Yesterday I saw my primary care doctor, after not being able to schedule my GI dr appointment until next week, and she told me that it could be gastritis and to take 40mg pantoprazole for a month.
