I am here to look for some solace and advice in depression and anything else that includes depression. I would like to think I am an empathetic person. I am always willing to talk to anyone that needs someone to talk to. Although I am not perfect, and in fact I usually never think I'm remotely close, I do have experience with emotional and mental challenges. If anyone reading this is looking for a friend, and they are willing to be respectful and kind as well, I am more than happy to listen to anything you want someone to hear. It would grant me nothing but joy to be of some help if I can be that for anyone. As far as my personality goes, I personally find peace in my own version of spirituality. I don't believe in the traditional God, but I do find comfort in the beliefs I hold. As part of that I am deeply fond of anything that has to do with Space and Time. I also consider myself an unusual mind. I am fascinated by morbid and beautiful things, as an example, Tim Burton movies often feature personalities I'm intrigued by, I am very interested in tattoo art, in my mind I have gothic interests, and my boyfriend is even more unusual than me, which I love him for.... I am not great at ending these things, so I'll try my best by saying this. If you find anything in common with me based on this description, including the depression, or if you feel like my personality is intriguing or like your own and want to connect with someone, even to ask for help, please do so. It's hard for me to handle the issues in my life right now. I don't know how to handle my situation. I don't mean to be vague, but I'm just too tired to explain everything going through my head. I'm really really scared. She was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in her liver and that part of her body is killing her. She's going to appointments with different doctors and she's doing what she can, we can hope she will get a new liver at some point but I don't know how to handle this stress and I am so so scared but I can't talk to her about it because she has enough to worry about already. I wanted to know if spiritual counselors have been helpful to any of you in the past. I want to look into it, as it was good for a friend of mine to attend a session, but I wanted to get a better idea of how it helped any of you that might have attended. It sounds like something I want to do, but I would love your input.

You may not know me, but if I know anything about depression, it's that it is easy to fall victim to it. I wanted to make this post to remind anyone that reads this, to be as strong as you can be. I often feel alone. Isolated, unappreciated... even unloved. Know that love is always there. You will be loved, you are loved, you have always been loved. We will always find connection, and when you feel alone, remember that you won't for long.

So in the process of trying to love myself more, my biggest obstacle is going to be my habit of stress eating and eating too much, or when I'm bored. I often believe that this habit prevents me from improving myself more despite the progress I'm making now.
