  My story. 9 years ago i had an affair. This is something i am not proud of. Our children were 7 and 9. I was unhappy in the marriage to which i approached my husband a few times. Given his personality which is generally happy go lucky and she'll be right mate ish, he didnt want to discuss the problems. This led me to believe he didnt care. I felt i wasnt being heard. My father at this time was dying from a brain tumour and he was living overseas at the time so it was a difficult time mentally...

  About 10 years ago i did the unthinkable, and had an affair. Never in my wildest dreams did i think i would be capable of that - but i did. I was consumed with guilt and left the marriage - not for the man i had the affair with but because I couldnt see a way of moving forward with my husband. I stayed with the man for a few years until it was apparent that he wasnt the person i thought he was. He frequented brothels on a regular basis and physically abused me as well as mentally.
