  I was diagnosed in 2005 with IBS - debilitating IBS. It was bad. I was put on prescription medication and told I would have to take it the rest of my life to control "episodes." What a funny word, what they really meant to say was explosions in the bathroom, walking bent over like a 90 year old woman because my stomach hurt so bad, and a tummy full of gas that made me look one of those pictures on the cover of National Geographic. I was miserable! It forced me to take a look at my food choices....

  I have been in menopause for about 18 months now. I put on about 30 pounds (mostly around my middle). I also had horrible mood swings. My poor husband and family. Wow! I honestly couldn't control it though. I tried every kind of diet program to lose weight, but nothing would keep the weight off. I was a human yo-yo. I watched some friends of mine use a system to lose their weight; their transformations were amazing. So, I bit the bullet and started the same program. I'm a work in progress, but...
