This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

My name is Robert. My wonderful wife Sharry, passed suddenly of an aoertic aneurysm, on July 7th, 2013. Life changed forever that terrible morning, when my son and I awoke to a sunny summer morning, and she had gone to Heaven in her sleep. Like so many of you, I am slowly finding peace, and gratitude for the time she graced my, and my son's life, There are days when that is the prevailing feeling, then the days when being without her seems overwhelming. Some days are both, when memories come calling. Love never ends. Therefore, our grief doesn't either, until we see them again. We can, however, live for those who are still here, and begin to regain interest in the things we liked to do, and discover new strength..This takes time, and there will be many tears along the way. Know that you will find strength that in the beginning, seems a distant and faint hope. May you all find peaceful and happy moments amidst the pain of your loss, and may those moments become longer as time passes, as they slowly have for me.
