Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

My darling left me 18 months ago. We were married for 30 years, soulmates. I am having a very difficult time living alone. I have so many people who do care about me, my daughter number one. Yet, as you all know, they all have to go back to their homes and live their lives, leaving me in my home alone. I'm doing my very best to see all the blessings and love what my life has to offer. I wish you all peace and a sense of joy. I'm so glad to have found this group.
God bless you all.
She died thanks to a cancer that had been “cured” twice, but kept coming back. The son of a bitch took our unborn daughter, too. Now it’s just me and the dog.
When does the random crying stop?
We were together 16 years. Never knew there was a problem until 6 weeks
before she died. Found stage 4 colon cancer that had mast. to her liver.
The Lord had mercy and she didn't linger for years like some. We did have
a short time to say our good byes.
Life changed 4 1/2 months ago and finding my way is difficult to say the least.
It is hard to find excitement in anything. She was my best friend, lover, fishing and hunting buddy and guiding light.
Like the song says " I miss her so much, it feels like my heart is breaking in two" Everything thing I do, reminds me of you.
Her 50th birthday is this Friday the 23rd. Gonna have the surprise party I had been planning for years!
See so loved a good party and that it will be!
Nice to meet all of you, take care.

Last month I said “Be back soon, Baby.” to my husband of 34 years and made a short trip to the grocery store. I left as a wife and returned to find myself a widow.
Joining this group helped me work through the trauma of discovering his body, the breakdown I had when his ashes were delivered, and the loneliness that was keeping me separated from the world of the living.
I consider myself very fortunate to have the ongoing support of many of the members here and for the opportunity to lend whatever support I can to those who need it.
