As of now my life is peaceful. I have loving friends and family and am Thankful for each beautiful day. Dolores
I lost my sweet husband of 30 years 18 months ago. I thought I was handling things fine, but the past couple weeks have found me having anxiety and panic attacks. I was relieved to find this group.
To years ago I suffered a severe depression. For months 24 hours 7 days a week, my mind was tormented with suicidal thoughts. Thoughts of how I could take my life . I did not want to take my life but the thoughts consumed me. The doctors could not regulate my medicine. I could not sleep. It was the most torturous thing I've ever been through. Barry and I prayed and cried and prayed and cried but nothing . My husband was a strong man of God he would get up at three and four in the morning to go to the church to pray for me before he went to work . I would have dreams at night of myself having passed away. I would see my husband being so broken and hurt and people coming to visit him at the house because I had passed away and how sad he was . When I would wake up this would give me just enough strength to fight one more day. I didn't want him to be alone and going through the pain and hurt of me not being with him .
Now two years later here I am the one at the house broken hurt scared and lonely. Everyone's coming to the house to visit me because he's passed away . I trust God I truly do. But I do ask God why did you keep me alive just to take him to years later ? . I have found myself so many nights asking God to please take me so I can be with him . I don't understand God's ways . But I do trust him. I don't have to like it . I just trust him. But the pain is so deep and it gets deeper and wider every day.
I have also found that you never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have .
Love and Hugs,
Martha
