I wrote a response to y'all the other day and then pressed a key at poof it was all gone. So know that I am thinking of you. :)

The little fart, I mean Trey is getting more active. He rolls over quite a bit more but always waits until you are out of the room. I found him on his stomach in his crib this AM. Is he gonna be a stomach sleeper like his mom & dad??? He threw up and peed on me all in about 2 minutes this AM. He still naps really good for the most part, maybe one-two days a week he only takes little cat naps, but most days he takes 2 really long ones, which is nice, I can either nap or get stuff done.

He loves to be read to - I lay him on the bed and lay next to him with the book above us and he just goes wild, waving his arms/legs around when I open the book and each time I turn the page. Reading is supposed to calm him down and get him ready for bed, but he gets so freaking excited.

I think he's ready for a nap now. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Prescott finally started batting at the toys on his playmat!! I mean, like he literally JUST did it! :D In the last week or so, I started playing patty cake with him, and he friggin loves it! Everytime I start, he starts giggling and gets the biggest smile on his face. So stinkin cute. He turned 3 mo yesterday. I'm gonna try to post a few pics on here. Last time I tried they were all too big, but those were the professional ones. I'm gonna try to use some of the ones off my phone and see if that works. He's growing like a weed.

We put him in the pool again this weekend and put him in a float that he's a little too small for, but it worked ok. That little stinker fell asleep in it! lol I'm gonna try to post that pic, it's friggin adorable.

Trey finally figured out his jumparoo - he is going wild. I am so mad that I don't have the camcorder charged up.

Oh and I meant to tell you (kevsgirl) that Trey took FOREVER to play with the toys on his carseat. Now he pulls them off, but for the longest time he had nothing to do with them. I think it takes them a while to "get it" where as we don't realize how this is all so new to them.

Almost done reading my Baby Led Weaning book - it's really good. I think it makes ALOT of sense, seems healthier and ALOT easier. We won't start it for another couple months but kind of excited to see how it goes.

He talks to the toys on his carseat all the time. They apparently have the funniest convos, because he just laughs and laughs. lol Today he started batting at those too, so he's starting to figure it out.

I just looked at all y'alls baby pics. All adorbs!! I need more!! I'm gonna try again to upload some more. For whatever reason, DS was being stupid yesterday. The first 5 uploaded without an issue, but the next 5 wouldn't work at all. Weird.

I need to check out a baby led weaning book or something. I kind of know the general jist of it, but not the details. I just know enough to know that it sounds like that's the way we want to go. He's started to drool a lot, and when he was chewing on my thumb the other day, I could feel his little teeth under his gums. So we may be seeing some teeth in the next month or so. I still need to get an amber necklace for him. Any of you use one? I've heard they're awesome. Hoping to get through teething relatively unscathed. I know some babies are just miserable the whole time, and I really don't want him to be one of those. As laid back as he is in general, I hope that's the way he'll be with teething. I guess we'll see.

He's sleeping like a champ!! The last week or so, he's mostly been sleeping 8-9 hours!! He still has nights where he only goes 5-6, but the long ones are becoming more frequent. It's so nice. Hope everyone is doing well!!

My friend bought me the Baby Led Weaning book off of halfpricebooks.com and it's in new condition, I'm sure amazon has it also. That is the title of it, one of the authors is murkett (I think), don't know if there are multiple books to choose from or not. It's a super easy and fast read but really seems to answer all the issues/questions and really makes a lot of sense to me. I almost need to simmer down about it cuz I'm kinda forcing the issue on a few ppl I know. :)

I'm gonna have to research that amber necklace - never heard of it, but at 4 months tomorrow, I'm sure Trey could start with the teething sooner than later. I'm a little worried about my nipples at that point - he has gotten to where he kinda latches down and then if he hears a noise he turns his head without letting go. One day I actually flicked him on the cheek to get him to let go. It wasn't hard and he actually thought it was a game and laughed at me. I don't want to quit breastfeeding but also would like to have both nips at the end of this.

I tried to upload some pics a while back and DS wasn't cooperating. Definitely need to get some more put up here and on facebook. But at least I'm taking them - I'm usually not a good picture taker.

Trey found his tongue the other day cuz now he's always sticking it out. It's adorable. But isn't everything they do adorable (at this point???)

Brenna cut her first tooth around 4 months and her next about 2 weeks later- she looks so cute with her 2 little teeth! Poly- I know your concern! She bit me twice while nursing but I've picked up on when/why. She typically does it at the end of a feed. I can hear her unlatch and then she clamps down. Both times, I said "Ouch! No!" really loudly and unlatched her quickly. She seemed to get the message.

Brenna had another well visit today- she's 14 pounds and 14oz! Mama is so proud! Everything looks great!

Hey Ladies!!

I cant believe all our littles babies are getting so big!!! Joey turned 11 week yesterday..i go back to work in a week and I just cant believe how fast the time is going!!! I discovered that Joey has MAJOR upper lip tie so we are going to ENT on thursday to see about having it snipped...Im sure it will hurt some but from what i read its pretty simple and they only cry for a few seconds. People thing I am crazy but there are too many symptoms to just let it go such as: EXCESSIVE drooling...like more than a teething baby like soaking thru many bibs a day (which makes her little face break out from always being wet), recurrent thrush in mom, flat nipples with the white line on mom after nursing....all this stuff that just sucks! plus it causes a HUGE gap in the front two teeth so we would rather just get it done now....hers goes all the way over the gums and onto the roof of her mouth so it has to be done....i feel bad but it's causing problems so it needs to go

she is not sleeping thru the night yet but will generally go 5-7 hours before she wakes up for the first time. She doesnt really nap which people keep saying "thats good, she must sleep better at night for you" ya no not quite....she sleeps just same regardless if she has napped or not so that stinks because it's super hard to get stuff done when she wont nap that by the time she goes to bed around 9pm i have a ton of stuff to do so im not getting to bed until like midnight...i cant be doing that when i have to work in the morning. she is still in our room...we planned to put her in her crib at 8 week but SIDS is highest risk between 2-4 months so i would rather have her with me plus she doesnt sleep thru the night so i like have her right there so i can just get her out of bassinet, feed, change and back in for a few more hours. she usually wants her bink when she goes back down but i ususally have to spend about 20 mins repeatedly putting it back in cz she drops it all the time (another sign of lip tie) or she fusses so i really dont want to walk down to her room every 5 minutes to give her the bink lol...once she sleeps better at night then I will put her in the crib...i hope its before she reaches 15lbs tho cz the bassinet says not to use after 15lbs and my hubby will not be pleased if he sees me setting up the pack n play in our room LOL he will def. be telling me to take her to the crib in her own room!!

She is getting super chubby! its soo cute! I will have to post some new photos when I have a chance!

I hate to break it to you, but 5 hours is considered sleeping through the night for infants. It may not get any better. At least not for a long time. She just might not be a sleeper. Prescott kills me with the sleeping. He seems to know which nights I need him to sleep longer, because I have to work the next day, and those are the ones during which he will wake up earlier. For instance, over the weekend, he slept from around 9 to about 6 both nights. But Mon he woke up at 4, and today was 3. It sucks because once I'm up with him, I'm up if I have to go to work, so I'm exhausted!! Now tomorrow, when I don't have to work, he will probably sleep late. Drives me nuts!!

Sorry about the lip tie, but hopefully getting it taken care of will make things easier for you both.

I was going to keep him in our room longer than I did, but he hated the bassinet, and liked his crib, so he was in his room pretty early. I LOVE our video monitor. It's nice to be able to glance at the monitor and see he's still breathing. I've checked several times when he slept longer than usual. It helps a lot to ease the anxiety.

We have our 3 month check up tomorrow. Can't wait to see how much my little chubs weighs! He's growing so fast, I just want to stop time for a while.

I hope the sleeping gets better. Maybe she'll start to settle into a routine once you go back to work, and it will help. Good luck!

The researchers considered three different criteria for sleeping through the night:

Midnight to 5 a.m.
8 hours of uninterrupted sleep
10 p.m. to 6 a.m., the pattern most in line with family sleep times

I think her sleeping will get better once she gets cereal but she wont be getting that until 6 months. I dont want her to wean early...my mom told me to give her cereal before bed but Im not doing that...i refuse to buy formula and i have just witnessed many moms ending up to having to use formula when food is introduced to early because the breastmilk breaks down to quick and they arent satisfied (of course every momma is free to choose what they think is best for their baby) .....the smell of formula makes me gag so i want to steer clear of it lol....plus i have always had stomach issues for as long as i can remember so i want to be careful about introducing her belly to things to soon. She only gets up once in the when its still dark and i usually nurse her then change her diaper ( i used to change her first but she would scream her head off and wake up everyone in the house) and then she will generally go back to sleep but the past week or so she has drawn it out to be like an hour process as opposed to the 20 mins it was before...last night she wont up at like 2am (it had only been 4 hours since she last ate) so i gave her the bink and she went back to sleep for 2 more hours then i fed her. I just wish she would take some naps more so i can get stuff done and not have to do it once she goes to bed at night...i would like to be able to put her to bed, get a shower and go to bed. It would also be nice to get some damn help around here...my husbands niece is seriously so lazy...she just graduated so now she is an adult and im not sure if she thinks that means she doesnt have to do shit around her or what.....she did half the dishes after supper lastnight...if she is here she is in her room..i want to rip my hair out....she thinks she is entitled to do nothing because she is working FT now...uhh ya ok! I just want to be like "you either start seriously helping around this house or you can pay rent...and if u dont want to do either then u can move out" ....she will like add things to my grocery list that she wants ...she just got a raise and now makes more $ than i do so maybe she should buy her own poptarts! not to mention i found pop tarts in the toaster this morning..i guess she decided she didnt want them after she made them..im glad she thinks we can just throw money in the trash..she is truly the most ungrateful person i have ever met in my life...its disgusting.....i just wish she would do something besides sit in her room..it drives me insane...shes like expects me to have supper made every night..but she sits in her room while she can clearly hear the baby crying while im trying to make supper and doesnt even come to try to help! OK END RANT!!! sorry about that ladies lol!

Right now Joey is in her swing rubbing her eyes like crazy...i wish she knew that if she just took a little nappy that she would feel better....she gets so fussy from not sleeping but apparently babies dont realize they are feeling yucky cz they need a nap..they just know something isnt right so they cry....someone should give them a memo they understand lol...well i guess i better cuddle her a little and pray she goes to sleep!! Speaking of babies biting the nips...joey grabbed a hold of mine today with her little hand and put a death grip on it....i thought i was gonna die! LOL

Ugh- so sorry you are feeling stressed out! I don't have much to say on the sleep thing. I've really been blessed in that department. We started her in her crib at 8 weeks- she had been sleeping in a cradle in our room but she hated it. I also found we woke her up more often then not, so we moved her to the crib and she loved it! I guess my problem is the opposite. She sleeps really well- she's usually ready for bed between 7:30-8PM and will sleep the whole night through until 6-6:30AM. She started this right around the time we put her in her crib. She's woken up a few nights to eat when she's going through growth spurts or when she had her cold. My issue is that, selfishly, I want her to stay up a little later. Sometimes, I work until 6PM so I feel like I don't get much time with her. It's also a bummer on the weekend. This past weekend, we had planned a cookout with my cousin, his fiance, my sister and brother-in-law. Dinner was for 6PM but I foolishly thought that meant we'd eat. Well, nothing was ready so by 7PM Brenna was ready to leave. I ended up leaving and putting her to bed while my husband stayed behind. Oh well. I guess we all make sacrifices. He offered to go but I love nursing her before bedtime and couldn't break her from that routine.

ya i try to keep her up until about 9 because an earlier bed time just doesnt work in our house. We both go to meetings and they are usually 7-8/730-830 so by the time we get home and in jammies its around 9 which i am ok with because i feel she should be at home when its bedtime not in a meeting with us..last night she fell asleep at 8 so it threw her off a little bit this morning...she is sleeping in my arms right now..i have a ton of homework to do and i tried to her put her down but she opened her eyes before i could even get her down so im gona work on homework while holding her for a little bit until she is asleep more deeply.

Eeek! Boys are both asleep in the same room. Thinking I might cry when I go to my bed and Samuels not next to me. Glad the night is going smoothly but sad that we are already here for this transition...but it is only night one... :) Things are going great....Samuel is growing so fast and his 4 mos appt is in a few days :( he's already 14 lbs so I'm anxious to see where he's at on those lovely charts...he was only 15th percentile last time so we'll see! He is such a happy kid...so in love with him. I cannot stop taking videos of him belly laughing....he is just adorable. He is going through a growth spurt so he has been swallowing so much air and choking while nursing...and spitting up a lot...hopefully it will regulate itself again soon and won't be so long as it was when he was tiny. Also we have our first flight next week just me and the boys so wish us luck!

Definitely be thinking about your hand poly! Must be awful :( hopefully no surgery but hopefully it will be healing/healed soon!!

I HATE HATE HATE HATE GROWTH SPURTS....Joey is 12 weeks today and if def. hitting a growth spurt...I always feel so defeated during them! waking up 5-6 times a night to feed and having a hard time to get her back to sleep!! Last night I was trying to work on homework and she was just screaming and by the time hubby got home she was finally asleep and I was in the chair crying! I just hate feeling like that! I get so tired because she doesnt really nap and then she is up all night during these spurts and is down right miserable!!!!

Today she is 12 weeks! I CANT BELIEVE HOW FAST THE TIME HAS GONE! I go back to work TOMORROW! I am overly nervous about this!!! I dont want to go!!

Well gotta go because Miss Piggy is hungry again!!!
