Hi I am waiting for my August AF and then were underway for our 1st cycle of IVF.....scary, exciting!
Anyone else with me??

Were doing a blastocyst transfer does anyone know what that means?
like whats the option other than that and why would they pick this option??

Just be glad to share this journey with some people

Georgia - I have had some light cramping and I've read that it is common. I'm also using the Endrometrium inserts and it's a side effect as well. Pin - Congratulations !

1st sono at 5w4d yesterday showed a sac w/embryo measuring 6w3d. Unable to see a heartbeat yet. Doc was pleased. Next sono in 10 days. Praying for a heartbeat flicker :)

A blastocyst is a five day transfer. Some doctors feel that if you wait until this stage there is a greater chance that it will be successful. Some feel that it is better developing in the mother if it is going to develop. Some don't get to the blastocyst stage before they go back in. I can tell you that my son was a five day blastocyst that worked my first IVF. I had two three day transfers after him that did not work.

Hello! I am starting my first round of ivf this August. I am on BC pills now and will hopefully have my first transfer on August 29....which is 4 days before the first day of school and I am a teacher! Am I crazy?! Can I really do this while starting a new school year? Glad to have found this site and have you wonderful ladies to go though this with. Baby dust to us all! :)
