So the reason I was pissed off at my dad is because when I told him I had tachycardia in the middle of my sex change and had to stop cause they had issues waking me up, he says "you know i don't approve of this" without any emotion in his voice. At the time I was to fucked up on morphine to give a flying fuck that he said that, but then last night when I really thought about it and remembered that he expressed no emotion when he said it, it pissed me the fuck off because he preached that there is a time and a place for every fucking thing and he made the ultimate contradiction, and it seems a bit fucking hypocritical. And tbh I don't like hypocrites. Now that being said that brought up stuff he did when I was a teen. Okay so when I was 14 I had an anxiety attack and slammed my bedroom door, he snapped back to Vietnam and came to my room threw my door open and said "if you wanna keep slammin doors you will be in the hospital tonight, if you wanna run your mouth I will do it now. Do you understand me?" I replied neither acknowledging him nor popping my bottom lip with "I'm not gonna answer." and then he took his thumb and pointer finger and choked me at the pressure points, to the point where I couldn't fuckin breathe, and mom had to pull him off me. All because his brain snapped back to Vietnam. Then when I was 16 or 17, I had another anxiety attack, and we were having an argument so I get up off the couch, go outside, slam the door and sit down. He snaps back to Vietnam by coming outside to where I am sitting, gets in my face and starts yelling. I simply put my hand on his chest, get up move him backwards to go to my car, lock the door and chill the fuck out. No I couldn't even fucking do that because he proceeded to put my arm behind my back, and throw me back in my seat and got right up in my face and continued yelling at me. This is why when anyone gets in my face and yells I go off on them because I have to think about both of those things. Now when I thought about both of those last night it pissed me off even more. He mentally fucking scarred me for fucking life, and the best quote I could make on facebook to express my true hatred for the man doing this came from Five Finger Death Punch in the opening line to their song "Salvation". Some of you might see why I say this, other can come up with something better, but this is what the opening line says:
"Disgusted by your weakness, you have no right to live. To know you is to hate you, but your life's yours to give."
Then I also made another quote to show him how bad he mentally scarred me, which comes from another Five Finger Death Punch song, this time not so hard, but rather soft and emotion driven, and that song is Remember Everything, and the quote is:
"Dear father please forgive me because In your eyes I just never added up. In my heart I know I failed you, but you left me here alone. If I could hold back the rain, would you numb the pain? Cause I remember everything. If I could help you forget, would you take my regrets, cause I remember everything."
I made both those quotes because I want my step mom to read them to him so he can see what the fuck his actions has done to my fuckin mind. I want him to know he fucked up. Now my sisters Chris and Martha and my brother Charlie have all made him disown them. But if he doesn't do anything to repair his strings with me and earn my respect then this time he has lost another child, but this time it's on him not on me.
Punishing him for not respecting you? come on.
Yes I'm sure he hurt your feelings and you are angry over the way he treated/treats you, but parenting doesn't come with a manual.
You say and do things that you think are helpful for your child.
Granted he never should have hit you, and should apologize, but that probably won't happen.
When you say he said "you know i don't approve of this" with no emotion, I'm thinking he was just voicing his opinion and that it did upset him when he heard that they were having problems waking you up. He doesn't want anything to go wrong and he wants you to be alright.
Parents don't want their children to know that they worry about their kids every day of their lives.
Most kids feel they don't live up to their parents expectations - and that's because we all go down our own path in life. Parents do voice their opinions when they think things are not going to work out right..It's their way of protecting their children, but as each child grows, they have to make their own decisions. We hope that our parents will be proud of us or accept our choices, but don't punish him for not voicing the way you think he should be.
Be the bigger person and let it roll. Life is much to short.
