i didnt get to bed until after 1 last night. the kids werent in bed until after midnight. they are still sleeping. I slept like total crap. i should be sleeping in. but nope, here i am. up at 8 and eating oatmeal by 8:30. too much anxiety to lay in bed and pretend.

thank you saucy. i really appreciate it. i just got home. walmart was having a big sale on mini sponge cakes and strawberries. i bought at least 6 of each. i am going to make a massive amount of strawberry shortcake for the funeral. it was my grampy's favorite. i made it for him at every holiday.

I don't get the energy drink thing.

it's not suppose to be a thirst quencher it's suppose to give you energy aka wake you up if you're tired. It has more caffeine in it than coffee does.

i wonder how much bigger i would be if i had laid of caffeine in my teen years? i barely have any at all as an adult. no soda. just minimal chocolate and a half a tablespoon of instant coffee each morning.

Finally a break from this freakin' heat where I am. 84 degrees and breezy with low humidity in store for today and the next few days. It'll be great not having to depend on my rescue inhaler to breathe.

i am sitting here at 8 in the morning slicing strawberries into a big bowl on my lap. my brain is simply not computing today. i guess i am in denial that today is my grampy's actual funeral. it just doesnt seem possible. somehow my body was able to process that he is gone, but not this part of it. wish me luck, because i have a feeling i am going to be a mess.
