I have known about his situation since we started talking. At first it hurt, and I was scared and shocked. But then I realized that you cannot truly judge someone for their past just because they got caught that one time that maybe you didnt. So I feel for him, hard. And now we are really thinking about our future together.
There is a catch however, I havn't told my parents. And honestly.... im terrified too because I have no idea how they will react. And I don't know how to do it. How does one start that conversation?
In need of help DS. I want my parents to know that this man is not a bad guy, he just made a mistake when he was a kid..... what do I do?
If I should ever get lucky enough to meet another woman, when do I reveal the truth about my circumstance. Today all a woman has to do is look you up on line and that's all she wrote.
I'm still young and have much to offer, I just don't want to be around children anymore. I'm just looking for companionship with a woman who will give me a chance.
It makes me really sad lately watching all these celebrities being accused of certain things because my social media is filled with sour judgement from a lot of people I thought I knew. Everyone always assumes the worst. No one wants to hear someones story. Or reason.
At the end of the day, make sure you take care of yourself and whoever you choose to be with treats you and your family right. As for everyone else, it's not their life or their decision....they won't walk in your shoes. God is the only one with the right to judge someone for what they've done. The world would be a much better place if everyone just minded their own business and tried to understand situations or the fact the people can change.
Best of luck to you. I try to log on here often, but haven't really lately. For anyone on here struggling, I'm just a message away. I struggle inside a lot too, it's a difficult road.
This whole idea of not even asking and just assuming he paid his debt to society so it's all good is a dangerous and ridiculous decision in my opinion. In my state of NC there are laws that prohibit certain types of offenders from living in a home with children while they are on probation. You wouldn't know if a person is on probation if you didn't ask.
