Have you ever made homemade pasta?
I made a sauce today and my hubby and son made homemade noodles. They were great

I don't have a pasta machine so no. But I am sure they were delicious. I did make homemade egg noodles 85 years ago.... but would love to try pasta sometime. Nothing beats homemade!

Do you always make your own sauce?

I make a very basic tomato sauce with meatballs. I make it in the crockpot and then I freeze a couple of containers.

Do you use a crockpot?

I do like to, but don't much since it is now just me. I usually cheat and doctor up canned sauce. Only make homemade sauce of I am doing special dish from scratch. (lasagna, stuffed shells, manicotti.... only once or twice for meatballs)

I always loved to use the crockpot for roasts and veggies,,, meatballs... or to cook a pork (or beef) roast til it would fall apart and shred for barbecue. (and in sauce of course.
Is nice to throw together and let it cook all day.

Do you have a food processor to save you ( or hubby) from chopping your little heart out?

We do have one but hubby prefers to just chop himself, normally we don’t have much chopping to do

Have you ever had a beer butt/beer can chicken?

I think so....My nephew loves to cook and experiment and I believe he did do that already

We enjoy them on the bbq

Did you ever hear of or try a turducken?
(Chicken inside duck inside turkey) I never did , but a guy that used to work with us made them a couple times.

No

How did that work out for ya?

I’ve never done it but a friend has and it turned out fairly well, my parents bought us a propane pizza oven so we use that in the summer. The kids have already made us pizza twice in the past couple of weeks.

Do you know anyone who has an outdoor pizza oven? My son would love to have a big stone pizza oven in the yard.

No I don't. Did not know there was a propane version. The big stone ones seem like a cool thing to have, but don't know anyone who has em here yet.

My BIL was telling me my nephew (who is a big Craig's list shopper) just bought a fridge /sink/ cooktop for outdoors. They are putting up an outdoor deck and kitchen at their place. (Apparently, this is how those with money keep some... find bargains and have parents who can help them do the work for free. lol)

I don’t know anyone with an outside kitchen, we have a bbq and the pizza oven.

Do you know people who have two kitchens? The Italians around here have their main kitchen and a kitchen in the basement as well,

LOL. Not in my circle of friends (all poor souls like me. haha)
My nephew (and those living around him in their "estates") I believe likely will all have them if they don't already. Mike and Sheri bought an older home in this new development and they are doing a lot of work to it. Mike wanted a chef's kitchen.... and now the outdoor one on their new deck. (Must be nice!!!!)

Italians have big families and love to cook and host so that does not surprise me.

What is your favorite plant that is around right now?

Tulips are starting to come up now, not much else, still have snow in some shaded areas
