I am so sorry that you are hurting as much as you are right now. I just cannot imagine driving that long after having surgery ... Can I ask what kind of surgery?

I need a hug today.. Today is my Son Nicholas's 17th birthday. We went to the grave to see him today. I know he is in a better place now but he was such a blessing to me even if it was for only 7 days.

I am so thankful for this group.

oh cathy i am so, so deeply sorry for your loss. i lost my baby while he was still in my belly, and i know that miscarriages and infant loss are very different, but we do all find ourselves in the same support groups and do have some commonalities. my heart breaks for you. i am glad that you had the time you did with your son, just as i am so grateful i had the time i did with my son while i was pregnant, and there truly are no words to express how sorry i am that your son passed away.

to answer your question, i had a lami and discectomy. fortunately the surgeon is very pleased with how things are going. we just moved to a very small town, which is why we had to drive so far to get to the dr. its ironic because long car trips are one of the worst things you can do after back surgery. as i write this, i am feeling a bit better- the meds have kicked in and im back at home. you know, my baby is in my mind and heart every second of every day, but ive noticed that my sadness has been intensified in this past week since the surgery and i cant figure it out. has this ever happened to you?

my thoughts are with you, nicholas, and your family on his birthday, and my heart goes out to you. i hope that you are finding some comfort in the midst of your grief.

I've been really depressed lately. I've finally decided to quit my job, but I can never seem to turn in my notice. For such a horrible place, I cannot leave my boss. It's like I need the abuse in my life. It's only keeping me sick and I feel like if I leave, that I'm being the bad person. I told myself that I will turn my notice in after my doctor's appointment on the 28th.

My mother and I just got in an argument over nothing. I should have just slept all day. I literally leave my room for 5 minutes and she has to have something negative to say. I just can't take it any more.

I, for some reason, cannot leave someone high and dry. It's against my nature, but I've been put down too many times by her. No one wants to work for her. Supposedly someone else was to start and when the day came for them to start, the chick never showed up. I wasn't surprised.

I at least felt OK most of the day. I'm having an OK day. I'm here for all of you.

I'm over almost constant sore throats, sore glands and feeling unwell!
Its a particularly shitty day.
This and family stress- I get so tired.
What do I need?
