Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I've endured a lot of emotional traumas in my life, but I always got myself together and moved forward with a survival plan. I don't have the energy, focus or creativity to that this time.
I want to be a supportive member of this wonderful community, but apparently, I'm not even doing that well enough. I'm struggling to work enough to keep my business open and instead of enjoying it and feeling enthusiastic, it leaves me feeling like I want to crawl in a dark hole at the end of the day.
I turn my computer on and pour coffee to start the process of meds, heat and checking the latest posts on DS. I would love to chat more, but if I do much typing before work...there might not be any work that day.
So...I've taken my sleep meds and ready to snuggle with my Chihuahua until I slip into that precious, short time when I don't feel this pain.
And...the same begins, very early in the morning.
Sweet, painless dreams,
Cherry
Cherry I hope you feel better. It's nice to see you guys here!!
Big Hugs,
David.
Would like to ad, it does make me smile to read of others improvments in pain n productivity. As much as I think I've come to terms with where I'm at, I still find I try n deceive myself into thinking I should/could work a job as before. It's unrealistic.Probably a very normal part of aging n the rest.
Best wishes to all, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
hugs,xxxxxxxxx
Would like to hear from some new folks. Jump right in.
This group has changed my attitude towards all aspects of my life.
To all of my regular pain peeps, check in.
Big Hugs,
David.
It sure helped that the sun was out both days!
Wishing everyone less pain and more joy,
Ama
Hugs,
David.
What a long weekend for me as having this foot surgery just left me to sit all weekend but I finally got up and was able to walk without the cane yesterday so that is good news and the pain is not so bad unless I step the wrong way. I am hoping to get out of the house just for a bit today or I might pull out my hair if I have to sit one more day.
I am thinking of just going to the bank and the craft store(that is my toy store) LOL and then I will come home and rest. I still have to do my RX change before the cut of time of the 7th talk about waiting til the last minute.
Manny--- I hope you get out of the house, I know how that feels. it's nice just to go to a store.
I hope everyone is ok and doing the best they can. As for me, I am not doing very well emtionaly speaking. I found out last week, I have Parkinsons to go along with everything else I have. I am a wreak. The meds I am on are super strong and now even the lights on the Christmas tree makes me feel super sick. I am ready for some good news when it comes to my health.
Sorry for venting guys. I haven't even told my husband about my DX, I know, he knows deep down because of my meds and he has experience with his grandfather having this. I am the type of person that needs to process stuff before everyone needs to know. I am just tired of everything right now. I hope I don't bring anyone down, I just needed to get it out.
Blessings and hugs,
Theresa
I hope that this setback will be able to be managed. I know that there is no cure for Parkinsons, at least that I have heard, and I am so sorry that you have to have this heaped on the pile.
We're here for you.
Big Hugs,
David.
Hi all. Sorry I disappeared. Been going through a real rough emotional and physical ride. Think I'm coming out of the worst of it but feeling raw now.
Thank you all with your postings of love. I received them; I just couldn't post back at the time. They meant a lot.
