Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

So good to see you back Stranded (waving)... and glad to hear that you now have your own place to live. I have thought of you and wondered how you were... and whether your accomodation issue was being settled.
I remember you Hank... hi there... it's always nice when someone who has been absent returns.
I have not been posting much over the last few months myself, because of needing to focus on other issues in my life than my pain. But I have still logged on regularly and read and tried to keep up with all my friends doings etc (so hard without email alerts!)... as well as sending hugs to those who seemed to be really in need of them.
As part of my "tidying up" my life for the New Year I plan on getting back to being more connected with DS,as I have been in the past. I'm looking forward to more contact with my friends and the "regulars" here.
Sending Happy New Year wishes to all (in my world New Years is only 6 hours away now!). Hugs... Gaye... xxx

It's cold today in NC...........20 degrees. I know those in Canada are saying that's probably a heat wave, but not me ( lol ).
I hope everyone is doing OK. I'm off to fight the frozen tundra!!
Big Hugs,
David. ( aka dmaspord )
Its not depression, I've dealt with that and know my symptoms. Its as if I were a car with a couple of bad spark plugs. I'm functioning, but not running on all cylinders.
I'm simply drained....ah, I'm at a loss to describe what I'm dealing with.
I'm the strong but quite type here at DS. But never this quiet. For this long:-(
Anyone relate? Or maybe a suggestion on how to feel better?
Hugs everyone......and I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!
Deb
I've just been lurking everyday. Feeling less external pain, although I went through 4 ddays of migraine hell on the weekend. when I'm not in physical pain, I'm in emotional anger. So much anger in me right now and friends say to let it out, but I fear someone unsuspecting is going to get hurt. I'm so mad a life right now. Others want me to cheer up and be the same, but it feels like when my brother died suddenly, but it is something in me that died.
I have to go to work and act like I'm in control so everyone feels in peace. I have to keep it hidden.
thanks for listening.
My holidays were wonderful! I first went to my sister's house where we celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve. It was a really nice day with just my sister, brother, two dogs and myself. The next day we drove about 2 hours away to my brothers family and spent Christmas Day with them. This was a house full of people, so was a little overwhelming at times, but we had great food and fun times. We even played a bowling tournament on their Wii system. Only once did I have a problem and that was when someone dropped a stainless bowl in the kitchen and set off a seizure for me, otherwise I did fine.
The day after Christmas I flew out of Seattle to Arizonia to meet up with my son & his family. Then I spent five fun filled days playing with two delightful grand daughters. Each one is quite unique & and very special to me. They are both five, from different marriages, and are becoming so smart. They love playing games and having grandma read to them. I got oodles of hugs & kisses and lots of snuggles. It was a perfect visit. Now I miss them, but will look forward to the next time!
I came home with a cold and my MS is flaring so I have to take it easy. I always know that there is a pay back period for having fun. But it was so worth it.
I missed all of you while I was gone and it feels good to get back in the swing of things. Hugs, Cathy
