Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
To those who are hurting I hope you can find some relief.
I'm watching a football game that I taped from last week, after a great bacon and blueberry pancake breakfast that my wife made. Feeling decent today..........still waiting for that pain-free day..( lol )
Just going to relax today. Big day at church tomorrow. Our choir will do their Christmas music.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Big Hugs,
David. aka....dmaspord ..
@Vicki, So glad you discovered the cause of your nausea. Nausea can be so draining. Hope you get some energy back. You are always in my thoughts & prayers.
I am doing about the same. My vision continues to be poor and I am dealing with headpain. My neuropathy has also flared up so that is uncomfortable too. But I keep busy and focused on other things. It keeps my mind off my troubles. I think about all my friends here on DS all the time and hope that your pain is low. Take care everyone! Hugs, Cathy
I'm doing quite well recently with less pain and feeling a bit stronger overall. Trying to keep it simple so that I don't overdo, as is my usual way.
Cathy, I'm so sorry to hear your vision is still a problem. I hope you continue to keep up your spirits and the Xmas trip should help with that.
Hugs to all and hoping for less pain for everyone over the holidays.
Ama
@David, Hope you had a blast playing Santa
@Dixie, sounds like you need an assistant lol
@lady - I sure hope you feel better, and soon!
I'm here, in the midst of moving, sorta, but still kicking. Humped rump yesterday and I could still walk when my feet hit the floor this mornin'.
I can't complain, it's been a fun day, even skweezed in a nap. Didn't get to see all my kids this weekend. It sure willl be nice to be back with all the kiddos n grand BB's one week. Hubby has once more week in MI before we come back to Indiana with the remainder of our stuff, two days before Christmas.
Hoping the snow stays away til we get back here, I like to look at it, but don't want much more to do with it. Cold makes me shiv'r and shivering makes me hurt, so I try not to shiv'r too much.
I LOVE that this post is still going!
You all enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Great to see all off you here. You all mean so much to me and have made a great difference in my outlook on life.....
Just finished my Bible study, already got two cups of coffee, my Sunday oatmeal, and my meds under my belt, so I'm on the way to being functional ( lol ).
Big day at church. We have so many talented musicians, a lot of them our youth, and today will be a day of music and rejoicing. I participate in the Sanctuary choir and we will have our music tonight. I used to be a part of the hand-bell choir, but my SCS has that on hold. I may ask my doctor if I can ring the smaller bells next year. They will also play today.
So I'm excited. Wishing everyone a great day. If you're reading this and your thinking of posting something that's on your mind....please do.
I hope everyone has a low pain day!!!
Big Hugs,
David, aka dmaspord.
My pain is much better, generally speaking ,due to Fentanyl patch but concerned bout disc in between shoulder blades. It's getting pretty bad. Know I need another M.R.I. as it's been 20 yrs. No insur. so don't see that happening anytime soon.
Hope everyone is managing ok and looking forward to Christmas/Holidays??? Spending Christmas at my nieces n other fam' members. Looking forward to it very much. Will be taking my own vehicle so I can leave early if need be.
Hugs n bast wishes to all, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I'm feeling about the same. I have some mornings where the pain levels are higher than usual, but it has been managed quite well. I have a good PM doc.
Vicky, nice to hear your pain is a little less.
Wishing all a low pain day.
Big Hugs,
David.
I am doing alot better now. I was coming off meds last week and taking new meds. They finally kicked in. I slept last night. Yay!
I had MRI, Pdoc is doing a injection tomorrow, he found other things wrong with back. If injections don't work, he said their is a new procedure he can do to my scakroliak joints (excuss spelling). He did say it was one of the hardest areas to treat. I have a sleep study the 27th. I can't wait to get it done, so I can sleep better. I am off to Neuro doc today.
David-- I am so glad you are doing ok!
I hope everyones pain is less.
Angela-- I am super glad your botox worked for you!!
I have finally came to terms with Parkinson dx, I was emtional but now I am ok. I know for me, God is my strength, and my church family a blessing.
I just want to (((HUG ALL)))) I hope everyone has a great day!
My granddaugher is flying in from Germany the 23rd. I haven't seen her in 11 years. I am super excited.
I will quit rambling! I want to thank everyone for thier support :)
If it's not one thing, its another. Pain has lowered for me, but fights at home have risen and I don't know why. I asked hubby to leave today as he is the logical choice. Domestic abuse. Too numb to cry just now. He hasn't gone yet. I can't concentrate. Just lost. Need to keep strong right now and can't fall back. Every minute seems like hours. I don't feel further danger, just a great sadness at the verge of overwhelming me soon. But I can't let it yet. Need to see this through for the kids.
Good to hear you're doing ok David.
Apparently I've reinjured disc in lower back as pain is terrible. The vicoden helps alot but I'm having to take more than originally prescribed. Called Drs. office so I'm currently waiting for return call. (Old injury from car accident 20 yrs. ago, uggg!!!)
Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season to everyone n hope pain is at/stays at all time "low"!
We are here for you. I am so sorry for your situation. Please don't shut down.
Hugs,
David.
Pain is under control now (even lower back pain) due to taking my doses closer together. Allowed 2 a day n always took them several hrs. apart. This way works much better controlling the pain.
So anyway, hope you're all doing ok n not stressing out over getting things done.
"Merry Christmas" n remember it is more blessed to give than to receive.
