I like the "friends with benefits" idea myself...When I am ready I may try to find one. As to getting married again, I doubt it.

Yeah, the problem is most of my male friends are married and I am so not going to mess with that.

I would consider getting married again, just not any time soon. Maybe when I'm 80.

a good friend of mine finalized his divorce today. Treated terrible by his X. She cheated lied and they had 3 kids together all under 4. She begged for the divorce, to a nice guy.

He called me today and said it was the toughest day of the 8 months of processing. He said she sat in the room and glowed, his kids got taken, his wife quit him and he is a pretty damn good guy.

He said to me I will never get divorced again I have never hurt so bad in my life. I said my friend I am right there with you, it is not worth the pain when the statistics show what they do and him and I both married someone we felt very strongly our lives would be spent with them and then within 2 years Poof* they throw in the towel......so No thanks FWB only way to fly!

I'll get married again someday. But I'm going to ask all my freinds and his mother what's wrong with him before I do. My life is just starting. I want children and birthday parties and anniversaries. I was deceived by my STBX into thinking he wanted those things too. Next time I'll have him do a psychiatric evaluation before the I dos.

I can't do FWB. I can't separate my emotions and intimacy like that.

First I'd like to say that if I found the 'right guy' I'd take the chance again. Shit I could go outside & get hit by a bus & say 'adios' to this life just like that too. Pretty much everything in life is a gamble, there are 'no sure things' that is why it is so hard when the one relationship we think is so secure unravels.
But this is the crux to the problem. Do I think I'll find someone that will make me want to make that leap again honestly? No, I don't because of this type of mentality. At our age, with our kind of baggage, I think we are jaded. We hang only on the bad and not the good that came from the relationship.
Would I remarry "Yes", but that is neither here or there now isn't it?

I hope to one day get married again. I really do want to be married have children. But after being blown away twice by my STBX. It will a long process of me being able to trust anyone again. bleh...

Lately been craving more HOWEVER marriage the "M" word Ummmm that would freak me out, I think the only way I would get married again is drink a whole bunch and go to vegas after being impared waking up the next morning thinking OMG, WTF did I do??
