DS Relationships? real or BS???

We are all so damaged when we come here we so want to believe there are still good people in the world! We are trusting, loving and giving and we are desparate to find someone like us! We make friends on here and then sometimes turn it into a one on one either chat or phone relationship. We are so open for some reason to tell our iner most thoughts and feeling to this other person. We let ourselves think it is real! Is it? Is it just real for the moment or is it all abunch of BS just like in the real world. We think we make a real connection and feel special to someone again only to find out they are "special" to many! Be careful not to mistake two hurting people comforting each other for love or a long term relationship or we are going to need a new group for thoses hurt by DS relationships gone bad. Do tell what has happened to you? DOn't have to name names!

I'm sorry that you were hurt but people can be false anywhere. I feel in love with my x and had no idea that he was the evil drug addicted person that he is.
As always we are here because we were hurting and possibly broken, 2 broken people can't make a relationship work.
I've been around here for a long time and your story is far too common.

I was careful. Mine didn't go too far but I have heard some stories from others! I just thought we all need to realize we are so damaged right now we need to be careful and realistic about "falling" for someone on here just like anywhere else! I actually got messages sent to me telling stories about the added pain this has caused some. I am just trying to caution people. I don't think most are trying to hurt anyone they mean what they say at the time. We just need to heal before jumping into something with both feet, you know!

I ain't lookin' for no one-on-one here at DS. So I offer that approach to you as a way to avoid the whole problem you describe.

Really I am good. It was others stories that made me put this out. I hate to hear about people getting hurt where they come for help. Again, I don't think they mean for it to happen that way but most of us are not ready for something real, just friends at this point or we wouldn't be logging on here everyday. Just a word of caution was my intent

I wouldnt want to hook up with any of the guys here... one, you bare your soul to one another before you even meet.. no mystery.. and 2.. you form a friendship and a bond with eachother.. I wouldnt risk screwing that up..

Oh, Mary, I cannot BELIEVE that they don't have spell check here, I waste COUNTLESS minutes, that add up to hours, going back and trying to clean up some of my typos. Ever since the divorce started, I have been unable to type worth beans! Seriously, I used to be able to type pretty good! Yes, give us spell check instead of fooling around with all of the other junk!
