DS Relationships? real or BS???

We are all so damaged when we come here we so want to believe there are still good people in the world! We are trusting, loving and giving and we are desparate to find someone like us! We make friends on here and then sometimes turn it into a one on one either chat or phone relationship. We are so open for some reason to tell our iner most thoughts and feeling to this other person. We let ourselves think it is real! Is it? Is it just real for the moment or is it all abunch of BS just like in the real world. We think we make a real connection and feel special to someone again only to find out they are "special" to many! Be careful not to mistake two hurting people comforting each other for love or a long term relationship or we are going to need a new group for thoses hurt by DS relationships gone bad. Do tell what has happened to you? DOn't have to name names!

I believe that it would be pretty stupid (at least in my opinion) to find someone to love on the breakups and divorce page - I mean most of us are here because we are hurting and we want someone to listen to us. Some of us are also mourning over the loss of the past relationship so why would anyone want someone like that for a love long term relationship. I understand that maybe I am different than some of the others - but I am just looking for someone to talk to - thats all!

I agree with Frank that I think it might be best to date someone who has been through a divorce (and not one he caused by cheating). I am unsure whether or not the person should have children -- would it make them more inclined to accept my son and understand his issues with the split up? Or would children on both sides make it that much harder to have a relationship...not sure. As far as baring it all (if that is what Frank means about the baggage), I am unsure about that either. My friends have told me to keep it at "it did not work out" rather than explain the split with my STBX. So I am confused, which just tells me that I am not even close to ready to date.

I'm not thinking it's stupid Skirbie and sorry you feel that way, do you think it's stupid that you feel in love with the person that you did that broke your heart because you met him in person rather than online? I mean really, I don't think we are talking chating with each other confessing our love... we are saying that if you find someone that you "Click" with then you should go with what you feel is right... I wouldn't fall in love reading but if I met that person in person and there was something there, who knows?!?! Your intitled to your own opinion I should just be quiet now...

If you find a person that you click with and you tread with caution, which we all will after being so hurt anyway, then I say Why the hell not? Life is too damn short.. and if two people meet here and hit it off, Great!

Oh and Tangled.. LMAO at the virgin - how long do you have to go without before you are a virgin again?! ;)
