you expect something that you have no desire to give in return....your views of how a relationship works are as flawed as his. You want him to work and pay the bills and keep food in the house for you and your family but think if you have to put forth the same effort it makes you his slave? Is he expected to be your slave?

Listening to only one side of the story will not get you to where you want to go BPP. Yes I am a man and I will not understand being a housewife, but to only look at one side of anything will lead you astray. Look, I'm NOT a housewife...I am happily UNmarried for 15.5 years!! We're life partners and it ain't been easy and it's surely not a bed of roses. But it is what it is...Thru thick and thin.

My response is if ya can't clean the laundry you build up, then throw it out and get the new. It can apply to everything in your relationship!

You gotta care for it just like you do with what you put on your back. You have to tend to it to keep it in good condition. It ain't up to someone else and it won't clean itself! If there's a blemish/dirt, clean it!! Treat it with care!! Bitchin' and whinin' about it ain't gonna cut it.

If you can't get out the stains then it's time to throw it out! Now that's what I call me bein' a housewife! gotta treat it like you do your laundry!!

With me and mine, we care for each other, if one gets sick the other helps, I do more in the house than he does but I do it by choice because I want to do those jobs and enjoy it.

He appeciates what I do just as I appreciate him.

Well when I mentioned to him what I wanted to hear over the phone his reply was......I told you you looked like you lost weight. That isn't good enough. I sent him a message on the phone.....if he is going to give me an ultimatium and threaten me than I want to hear that I look good every day not that I lost weight....saying that I lost weight doesn't cut it at least not for me. I expect to hear that I look good. No more no less.....I don't want an alternative or something different.

Well reality check princess! All guys are not the same and most guys have trouble saying the things that they feel. They ae totally and completely different then females. If he tells you you look like you've lost weight then that in itself is a compliment. My man tells me i'm beautiful everyday but all men arent like that. My brother is one of those men. He doesnt tell his wife that she's beautiful EVERYDAY but when he does open up and tell her then he really means it. This really sounds childish. Just start doing your everyday duties in the house and do it right and he might stop complaining. Wouldnt you complain if he came home without a paycheck? Alright then, start from that frame of mind. You have to do your part while he's at work and your family needs a hot meal every night as well as your daughter needing breakfast and lunch. Its had being a housewife yes. But its only a motherly and wifely instinct to want to take care of your loved one. At least it is for me.
