Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
bipolar, for many of us, it a very lonely state of existance. i make friends easy when im up and feeling good, but when i get down, or hostile, all of those who say they can deal with it... run like hell. and really, i cant blame them. thats just been my luck.
but i still have hope, i dont know why, or maybe im just too chicken shit to do myself in. i dont know. im still here, a glutton for punishment i guess.
hope is the wind that i keep on the end of a kite string.
hang in there, easier said than done i guess, but please hand in there, i need to know there is still hope.
zig
ziggy~That's what I'm doing one day at a time it's hard but somehow I manage. I use this website a lot for the support though.
fineline~Nope don't have the consistent fever, headache, or nausea. I don't know that I should go off meds cuz what if I go manic or super depressed and lose control?
Get a second opinion from another psych about your meds
And go to a good therapist. If you've had a lot of trauma I suggest a therapist who does EMDR.
Hang in there...and trust all of us here who have made it this far...
And of course, call your p-doc if you're that suicidal. Sound like she upped your meds, and that made it worse. She needs to know that, and ASK for something else. Then go to the ER to get something else. No talking. You need other drugs. Call her at 2am (if you have her pager number), to let her know what's happening. Why should she sleep soundly while you're busy arranging your stuff? Makes me angry.
and even if u r, but still feeling suicidal, go to an Emergency Room, or
call 911! This is serious, don't play
with this.
