Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Please back up your claims and actually watch the video all the way through before calling it "manure" and "highly dangerous".
PS I said open minded people, not close minded.
Whatever floats your boat I suppose. If it helps him he's probably just trying to help others...that or trying to sell a book (maybe trying to sell knowing this society...snake oil stuff).
Spiritually?...I have used that but I think it's personal like religion. No-one can tell you you have to work it out on your own.
its all just my choice, right? guess i just choose to be a loser.
thanks - now i'm more depressed.
It's the way each of us treats these experiences (regardless of what they are) which is the problem, because we don't care to learn about them. We remain scared, or passive or ignorant.
SamWinchester - Have you even looked into the Soteria project? For over 12 years people were taken in and helped overcome Schizophrenia and Bipolar related issues, without medications. They got the same, if not better, results as compared to Psychiatric hospitals. That's a fact.
As for your trauma - what do you think growing up with someone who is bi-polar is like? It's far from clear sailing, and just because you say you have had little trauma, we all experience it in different ways. You may not consider your trauma, trauma at all. Just life experience.
There's no such thing as normal. Bi-polar as a genetic disease is only theory, not proven fact.
gimme a gun!
