Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
The Forgotten One's
We walk around in endless circles
Trying to find a way
To survive life's tiny tasks
Without a word to say
We're the one's that wear long sleeves
Telling lie upon lie
Not asking you for anything
Except don't let us die
We're the one's you overlook
You can not meet our eyes
You look at us in pity
But won't look past our lies
We're your next door neighbor
You hear us in the night
But you say it's not your place
As you turn out your light
Our parents bring us to the school
Saying we fell down the stairs
But a fall didn't do this to us
It's no one's fault but theirs
You come into our lives
But don't know what to do
So you leave us quickly, quietly
We've come to expect that of you
We see you on the street
We meet you in the store
You care for us in hospitals
But you can't help we're sure
You go about your business
And leave us to our own
But your fear of stepping in
Leaves us in a danger zone
We're the ones quick to obey
We're the ones that don't talk back
We never ask a silly question
Childhood and freedom is all we lack
We laugh it off
We never cry
We show you fear
And you see shy
You comment on our behavior
It's the best you've ever seen
All we want to tell you now
Is we're not treated like a human being
We're the one's you say you know
For us you shed a thousand tears
But you choose to do nothing
So alone we must face our fears
You can't see us in the paper
You won't see us on the air
We're the forgotten children
And you can see us everywhere
We huddle in a corner
Wanting to crawl away
Afraid to even take a breath
Not knowing what to say
Our lives seem so pathetic here
Our days grow ever so long
Our only hope for survival
Is in a simple song
Our faith in love is growing dim
Our love for life is fading fast
We have no trust in anyone
We all learned from the past
We cry ourselves to sleep at night
Wanting to be free
But life was never fair to us
Pain is all we see
We hide away from this earth
Searching for a hole
One that we can crawl into
While they beat us to a pole
No one cares to hear us cry
No one cares to see our pain
No one cares to help us out
After all, what have they to gain
We walk around on eggshells
Not making a single sound
Hiding out in closets
Praying we won't be found
We have been left alone
To fight our silent war
Living from day to day
Has become quite a chore
So one more time
Right from the top
If you listen
It just might stop
But we're sworn to a life of secrecy
So we say not a word
Maybe if we weren't so scared
The crime of child abuse might be cured
We walk around in endless circles
Telling lie upon lie
Not asking you for anything
But please.... I don't want to die
Dedicated to the forgotten children
May you always be remembered
