bring on your work
we'd love to read it
long or short it
is full of worth
it comes from the heart
please take part!!!!
venomous animosity, anger
hatred, dismissal, disparagement
dreadful words and deeds
chase me in my dream
it feels so real
awake i shake with the
thoughts of it
and too hot for comfort
asked for and given
impatient with sleep.
downstairs to escape
front door wide open
leeching every bit of heat from
house and heart. who? what?
the last down there before sleep
closed tight
keeping the storms out.
and in they came in their turns
finding the open door
to haunt me even as i sleep.

whiskey dulling the senses
taking thoughts to new heights
too high for me to put pen to paper
needing tea
and something to eat.
the cracked black pepper crackers
with chilli soft cheese and baby
cherry tomatoes
brought to life with a small
sip of it.
tea in the middle of the night
releasing my mind
and my pen.

You know all the moves
Share your dreams with me
And we'll go, you and I
To a secret sweet hideaway
Longing for life
Waiting on memories
That can not be forgot
Live today like a whisper
Tomorrow, a shout
Bring your dancing shoes, sweetness
And I'll leave no doubt
Today begins new life
Tomorrow yields growth
Carry me, weary and all
And I'll be your partner
In this grand ball
The morning sky is already blue
That I know is true
I don't hear the birds yet
But I know they will start to chirp soon, don't fret.
I know, not much lol..... But at least it's a little something.
I wanna join in toooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lol
An Ode to BP
You talk a good talk
You said you'd take it all
You claimed to take everything
You said you'd see me fall
You've cost me all my favorite jobs
And the relationships I didn't want
You cost me time with friends and family
As from behind the guarded walls you taunt
You've cost me my perfect skin
It lays tattered and broken and scarred
Years of abusing torn razor blades
And glass broke into many a shard
Now you laugh and tease me
Saying you can take more
You've cost me what I hold dearest
You took the children I bore
What more can you take
What more do you want
I ask from behind wounded eyes
A soul that's empty and gaunt
You say you can take it all
But my life is all that's left
All else has been taken by you
The ache in my heart is heft
I made a giant pot of coffee for everyone this morning. I didn't sleep too great last night and the depression is making me feel like a zombie, so I'm in need of some coffee today and thought I'd share. There's a huge variety of creamers here and plenty of it. What should we have for breakfast, though?
Here's another one for you.... wait I gotta go through the other 38 and decide which one's won't trigger anyone and go from there
I stood upon a sandy beach
A dream I thought was out of reach
I read a small warning sign
And walked toward the water line
I slipped my shoes off and let them fall
Looked out over the ocean and felt so small
If you've stood here you'll understand
This body of water is so grand
I let the sand slip between my toes
It covers my skin just like my clothes
I stepped into the salty water as a wave came crashing down
Now I find it's my turn to really go town
I ran out into the ocean
It washed away my lotion
A large wave came at me
This one's perfect as you'll see
I ride the top back to the shore
As the salt fills my every pore
My hair is matted to my face
But this is my perfect place
Sitting on the sad, the sun is warm against my skin
Watching the children play, this is the happiest I've ever been
Laughter fills the salty air
No one has a single care
The sun is getting lower
The kids are moving slower
Another day in paradise has come to an end
As parents walk their kids around the sandy bend
I stayed a while longer not wanting to go
God had created quite a marvelous show
I can't see the mountain across the way
But it covers the sun ending a perfect day
The sun is now a small orange sliver
My body gives a little shiver
But all worries are swallowed
And my soul is all but hallowed
My heart is no longer sore
Happiness to the core!!
I stood upon a sandy beach
A dream I thought was out of reach
Here's one I just wrote:
Stuck inside my head
I just want to sleep in bed
My body feels so weak
I like I don't even want to speak
My emotions are numbed
I feel like I make everyone bummed
The thoughts are snickering
As the light inside me starts flickering
I don't know how I could hide these feelings if I tried
Sometimes I feel like Jekyl and Hyde
