I was driving home from the airport a few weeks ago. I had just returned from my 6 weeks of hell; trying to save my Mom from cancer and later dealing with her estate after those efforts failed. Be it God, or karma, or what, just as I pulled in the driveway a song came on the radio and I just lost it crying. It was 'You and me Against the World', by Helen Reddy. I had never even heard (or heard of) this song before. Talk about hitting home (its about a single mother and only child). Still cant get over the timing. So do any of you have a special song that hits home with respect to your loss like that?

I lost my girlfriend almost two years ago and although there are many songs that remind me of her it was when I was getting my tattoo for me and her...I was so nervous getting into the chair and right before he started to do it 'Heaven let your light shine down' by Collective Soul came on which was one of her favourite songs and one that I always played when I was at her house.

hi scott.The song that I loved most and got my through all of these rough times has been The Fool on The Hill by The Beatles which is on their Magical Mystery Tour album and it is my number one favorite.Another song is "I want to be your everything " by the late Andy Gibb.And the best is the Voice..Frank Sinatras My Way.Thanks for all of your help.

Always. Usually it's a song by Dokken or Guns 'N Roses, two of my brother's favorite bands from the '80s and '90s, his era, when he was on top of the world.

Faithfully by Journey hit me like a ton of bricks when it came on the radio yesterday when I was working out, not just because my brother knew and sung the lyrics, but because I was just mourning the death of that era, the '80s. Music, people, everything...had more HEART then. Now music and entertainment in general, by and large, is darker, grungier, sexier and more complex. Granted you me, I like music NOW too...but I really miss the light-hearted '80s...
