Is there a song that really hits home?

I was driving home from the airport a few weeks ago. I had just returned from my 6 weeks of hell; trying to save my Mom from cancer and later dealing with her estate after those efforts failed. Be it God, or karma, or what, just as I pulled in the driveway a song came on the radio and I just lost it crying. It was 'You and me Against the World', by Helen Reddy. I had never even heard (or heard of) this song before. Talk about hitting home (its about a single mother and only child). Still cant get over the timing. So do any of you have a special song that hits home with respect to your loss like that?

"If You Could See Me Now." The most beautiful song. One of the choir members sang it at Daddy's memorial service and it will always touch my heart.

Right before he passed away it was:

Right after his passing it is still:

and Now it is...

My special song is "Soulmates". It was the last song written by my fiancee. He said that I wrote the song, he just found it in the piano. Nothing hits me harder than hearing his beautiful music expressing his soulful love for me. If you would like, please go hear it at MySpace.com. My husband of 22yrs. just passed away in June. We own our own semi and he did the driving. The special song for me is by George Straite "Carrying Your Love With Me."
"Go Rest High on the Mountain" by Vince Gill is also a special one.

There are several songs that hit me really hard. Especially the songs that were played at my finance's funeral.

We also played a song by Janet Jackon. The ones that starts off "there are times when i look above and beyong".

The one song that kills me every time is Toni Braxton's "UNBREAK MY HEART".

at my parents funeral the choir where i belong in sang Amazing Grace for both of them . I picked out the songs. Amazing Grace was their favorite along with How Great Thou Art. My brother in law's visiation at the end his 2 sisters and my sister and me sang Spirit in the Sky. Wheneever I hear Spirit in the sky on the radio when i am driving i turn the radio up. When i hear Amazing Grace and How Great Thou Art i feel tears coming. Cindy

The Dance by Garth Brooks. I know that Jimmy believed that no matter what happened, he would not have missed the dance....the time we got to spend together and the joy we had was worth the chance....

My brother passed in August of 2007, then my mom in January 2008, my husband was diagnosed with colon cancer in April 2008... I went to a wedding last night, and it was great to see relatives in a happy environment. The bride and groom danced to the song: You want to make a memory by Bon Jovi (who is btw the best looking man on earth)

For some reason, I starting bawling.

I have several, my favorite is "With Hope" Steven Curtis Chapman. Others are "Gone too Soon" Michael Jackson, "I Can Only Imagine" MercyMe. You can hear these on youtube. There is also a website that has alot of songs I relate with, Memorial Music Library.

I have two songs Miss You by Keith Anderson and One More Day by Diamond Rio. I am a country fan. Both made me miss my husband so much.

The one that got me was a song the kids sang at a things they had at school just before my son graduationed in 1993, and it gets me everytime. "That's what friends are for" don't know who it is by. Also like "Go rest high on the mountain " by Vince Gill & "Who'd You Be" by Brad Paisley.

Everytime I hear "where the streets have no name" by U2 I begin to cry...sometimes hearing "always look on the bright side of life" Monty python can make me cry...The worst is 'don't you forget about me' simple minds.
