Hi all,
This group has been going for awhile now! A lot of us kind of know each other already, but a lot of new people have joined who may not be aware of who is here or what kinds of issues we deal with. So, I thought it might be helpful if we all take a couple minutes and answer a few basic questions about who we are and why we're here... so that everyone in the group can see how many different people deal with this problem.
This is completely optional of course, but I hope it will help a lot of us who are still active here (longtime and recent members alike) to get to know and understand each other better!
Just 8 questions -- answer as short or as long as you want to. Complete sentences not required. :)
1. Your age group -- just the decade is fine (e.g., 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, etc.)
2. For how long have you had bedwetting problems?
3. About how often do you wet the bed currently? (Every night, most nights, once a week, twice a month, etc.)
4. Do you have any issues with urinary incontinence during the daytime? If so, how often?
5. Do you know or have an idea what causes your wetting problems?
6. What steps do you take to try to manage or control your bedwetting? (Absorbent products, bed pads, alarms, medication, fluid restrictions, timed awakening, etc.) Be as specific or nonspecific as you like!
7. Who else knows about your wetting issues? (Family members, friends, etc.) Are they supportive?
8. What are you most hoping to gain from being part of this group? Tell us whatever you are hoping to see happen here -- learning more about the facts of your condition, getting to know others, meeting new friends to chat with, just knowing you're not alone -- whatever is on your mind!
Thanks for taking the time to share with us! Please let me know if you ever have any questions or concerns about this group!

In 2013 I had an accident resulting in spinal injury at the base of my neck with paralysis from there down, spasticity (muscle contractions and spasms) and double incontinence. Both my anus and my urethra have been left closed except with manual intervention. I hardly ever pass urine via the usual route (I have a suprapubic catheter passing directly into my bladder about 2 inches below my...
2.forever
3..every night
4.usually wet a few times during the day
5.nerve damage
6.mostly wear a diaper
7.very few like my spouse and some doctors

2. My entire life.
3. Every single night
4. Yes, incontinent during the day. Numerous accidents during the daytime.
5. Small,/underdeveloped/bad bladder
6. I use diaper/pull-ups 24/7 (Pull-ups during the day and diapers at night. If I'm going to be away and not have easy, convenient access to change then I will use a diaper during the day). I have had a rubber sheet on my bed seemingly forever. Have tried all the little things like limiting drinking, setting alarms, etc but none ever worked.
7. My family is aware as well as a few very close, old friends. They are all supportive of it, thankfully.
8. I feel like doctors have told me every fact about it all but I'm always interested in learning new information or methods. Nice to not I'm not alone in suffering with this condition and open to chatting if anyone wants to.
2. For how long have you had bedwetting problems? 2 years
3. About how often do you wet the bed currently? can be once a week, can be twice per week
4. Do you have any issues with urinary incontinence during the daytime? no
5. Do you know or have an idea what causes your wetting problems? related to fluid if it's high and my body doesn't send the signal to my brain any longer when sleeping, that I need to get up and go to the bathroom
6. What steps do you take to try to manage or control your bedwetting? I've fine tuned it to wearing a Depends belted pad with 12 exacto slits in he back, this lets the fluid flow through, then over that I wear a Depends ultra absorbency brief. Because I've learned that loose fitting products let fluid flow down and up the back to the mattress and not get absorbed by the gel, I put on a woman's control top full fitting brief over the diapers to make them snugly fit to me, white is best to not stand out so much, then a thickly padded cloth pull up brief over that because it always catches anything that escapes the Depends if there is anything and a high back pair of adult plastic pants overs it all. 98% of the time this is extremely effective.
7. Who else knows about your wetting issues? My wife and she's very supportive.
8. What are you most hoping to gain from being part of this group? To know I'm not alone, to hear how others cope and products that work very well for them and practices that really keep things dry. It's embarrassing and I feel like I'm 7 again but would be nice to know I'm not the only married man with this condition. Really would like to learn about very good products that I can use. For example, my vinyl pants tear at the elastic after about 6 months and get very stiff and loud so when I walk they crunch and crinkle and that adds embarrassment, the cloth pull ups come apart at about the same amount of time so learning what others do and purchase is very important to me so I can do the same.

2. For how long have you had bedwetting problems?
I peed the bed as a kid, still in nappies until 6 or so years old before becoming too big. Then a period of wet sheets and pj's, volume and frequency of accidents decreased to zero by 12 years old. Started to pee the bed again just after turning 40
3. About how often do you wet the bed currently? (Every night, most nights, once a week, twice a month, etc.)
Now I pee the bed every night
4. Do you have any issues with urinary incontinence during the daytime? If so, how often?
A few years after my bedwetting returned I started to have accidents in the day. I had always dribbled after peeing but the volume gradually increased and I began to have full bladder accidents in my pants. I now wear diapers 24/7
5. Do you know or have an idea what causes your wetting problems?
No certain. Still being checked out by medics. I have retention and over active bladder issues, but nobody can explain why
6. What steps do you take to try to manage or control your bedwetting? (Absorbent products, bed pads, alarms, medication, fluid restrictions, timed awakening, etc.) Be as specific or nonspecific as you like!
Have tried medication and minor surgery with little impact
7. Who else knows about your wetting issues? (Family members, friends, etc.) Are they supportive?
Family and medics - all are supportive
8. What are you most hoping to gain from being part of this group? Tell us whatever you are hoping to see happen here -- learning more about the facts of your condition, getting to know others, meeting new friends to chat with, just knowing you're not alone -- whatever is on your mind!

2-2 years
3-once a week
4-no daytime issues
5-the specialist says my brain isn't getting the signal from my bladder to get up and go at night
6-I wear a male Depends pad, slit the back with an exacto knife to allow fluid to pass through to the Depends night time diaper I wear over it, because the diaper alone doesn't contain all the fluid, then adult plastic pants over the diaper. Works very well, but if I've been drinking beer, I put a cloth pull up adult incontinent thick diaper over the Depends diaper and pad, then the plastic pants. So far that contains it all each time. Best way I've found so far.
7-Wife, after many many times of wetting the bed and my recliner, she's very supportive and understands
