Most nights.

I am here because I decided it was easier to embrace the situation than be hurt by it. Also, I do not have any other outlet for my thoughts on the subject as, understandably, it is not a favorite topic for my wife.

8 Sharing experiences, coping strategies and information with other people whom have similar problems
2. Pretty much all my life.
3. I don't do it as much as I used to. Sometimes it's every night and yet sometimes I can go weeks, or months, without wetting the bed. Emotions do play a part in it.
4. Yes, I have daytime problems as well. I have to go fairly often. When I'm drinking it could be every 20 minutes. When I'm not drinking very much it could be as long as a couple hours. But, usually I can't make it an hour before I have to go. Also I can't wait very long. Usually about 5-10 minutes.
5. We think it's do to Encephalitis I had at age 2 1/2. That somehow neurologically things don't work right.
6. I have a pad under my sheets to protect the mattress that I leave on at all times. When I have a feeling I might wet, or I'm going through a period that it happens a lot, I then sleep on another special pad so I don't get the sheets wet. If I ever sleep with anyone else besides my husband I wear an adult diaper. Or, if I'm at a hotel for an extended period of time.
7. The only people that know are my husband and my counselor. I had a best friend who died several years ago and she knew. Supportive? I'm not sure. I try to hide this problem as much as I can.
8. To know that others have this problem too and see how they cope with it. Also to keep my eyes open for new techniques, ideas and such.

1. 20 years old
2. Since I was a kid, then less frequently from 11-18. But once I went to college it started happening more often.
3. Probably once or twice a month. More if I'm very stressed about something.
4. No problems during the day, except I feel like I have to "go" more often than most people
5. It happens more when I'm stressed, so I think that has something to do with it. Other than that, I don't know!
6. When I was a kid, I had an alarm, but I don't use that anymore. Before, I used to not use anything and just change the sheets when it happened, but I just bought a brand new mattress so I use a vinyl bed cover. For a while I was on medication, but I went off of that because I don't like being on medications if they're not critical.
7. My mom knows, my best friend knows, and my boyfriend knows. I'm lucky to have an incredibly supportive boyfriend who doesn't mind waking up at 4 AM to let me change the sheets if it happens.
8. I'm just glad to have found out that the problem I've struggled with my whole life is shared by others who understand. It gets embarrassing when I Google "bedwetting solutions" and get pictures of little kids in pajamas. It's nice to know that other people have the same issue and they understand that this happens to adults, too, and that it's not something that we have control over.

6. Nothing worked so they pretty much left me in diapers and changed me as needed. They never cut back on my fluids as that is harmful to the body.
7. Friends, family know and kids all through school knew
8. I like helping others and to educate parents with the cause and effect of bedwetting. I also encourage them to work the wthe bedwetter and if nothing else works turn to protection. I remind the parents that the bedwetter doesn't plan this or even feel it in their sleep.
