Adult Bedwetting Community Group
A place for adults who still have problems wetting the bed to talk about their feelings, to discover solutions, and to talk about life in general.

Hi all,
This group has been going for awhile now! A lot of us kind of know each other already, but a lot of new people have joined who may not be aware of who is here or what kinds of issues we deal with. So, I thought it might be helpful if we all take a couple minutes and answer a few basic questions about who we are and why we're here... so that everyone in the group can see how many different people deal with this problem.
This is completely optional of course, but I hope it will help a lot of us who are still active here (longtime and recent members alike) to get to know and understand each other better!
Just 8 questions -- answer as short or as long as you want to. Complete sentences not required. :)
1. Your age group -- just the decade is fine (e.g., 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, etc.)
2. For how long have you had bedwetting problems?
3. About how often do you wet the bed currently? (Every night, most nights, once a week, twice a month, etc.)
4. Do you have any issues with urinary incontinence during the daytime? If so, how often?
5. Do you know or have an idea what causes your wetting problems?
6. What steps do you take to try to manage or control your bedwetting? (Absorbent products, bed pads, alarms, medication, fluid restrictions, timed awakening, etc.) Be as specific or nonspecific as you like!
7. Who else knows about your wetting issues? (Family members, friends, etc.) Are they supportive?
8. What are you most hoping to gain from being part of this group? Tell us whatever you are hoping to see happen here -- learning more about the facts of your condition, getting to know others, meeting new friends to chat with, just knowing you're not alone -- whatever is on your mind!
Thanks for taking the time to share with us! Please let me know if you ever have any questions or concerns about this group!

I've just been updating my profile information because I had a birthday last week, and so I'm now 25 instead of 24. It doesn't feel any different though!Just so you all know a bit about me: I suffer with anxiety and occasional panic attacks, and sometimes I do an accidental wee in bed while I'm asleep. Now I'm a year older than this time last week I can report that nothing has changed, although...

In 2013 I had an accident resulting in spinal injury at the base of my neck with paralysis from there down, spasticity (muscle contractions and spasms) and double incontinence. Both my anus and my urethra have been left closed except with manual intervention. I hardly ever pass urine via the usual route (I have a suprapubic catheter passing directly into my bladder about 2 inches below my...

2. For how long have you had bedwetting problems?
Since I was 14 years old.
3. About how often do you wet the bed currently? (Every night, most nights, once a week, twice a month, etc.)
Every night.
4. Do you have any issues with urinary incontinence during the daytime? If so, how often?
I have urge urinary incontinence.
5. Do you know or have an idea what causes your wetting problems?
Nerve damage from an injury when I was 14.

In the past I’ve been to numerous doctors and tried many different remedies. But the best means of managing it is wearing a diaper 24/7. Thank goodness for modern high-capacity adult disposable diapers that enable me to live a normal life.
7. Who else knows about your wetting issues? (Family members, friends, etc.) Are they supportive?
Doctors, family, and a few close friends, all of whom are supportive.
8. What are you most hoping to gain from being part of this group? Tell us whatever you are hoping to see happen here -- learning more about the facts of your condition, getting to know others, meeting new friends to chat with, just knowing you're not alone -- whatever is on your mind!
Sharing experiences with others in similar situations.

7. My family and friends are very supportive

1. 40's
2. Started when I was a teen. Was vdry before then, then just randomly woke up wet when I was in middle school. Was once ever month or so then.
3. I'd say occasionally. Once every few weeks now. But times of stress or over tired more frequently.
4. No. Last time I full on pee my pants was 9th grade. I do sometimes wet when uber over tired and not sleeping or tipsy/drunk though, if that counts. But that is rarely and specific conditions must be in place. Not any issues keeping dry when 'conditions' do not influence.
5. I have no idea. I was dry day and night at so called 'normal time' for kids but when about 13-14,, middle school time, I to started to pee my bed about once a month or so. and has continued since.
6. As a teen, when it first started, I used a large plastic garbage bag under the bed sheet. If I woke wet, I wait until my parents would leave for work (6:15-6:30 in the morning ) and then get out of my bed and take my wet sheets to the wash. Then get a shower and out of my wet underwear. And then run the wash after my shower with my wet sheets and underwear. The cycle would end before having to leave for school and I would then put the washed sheets and underwear in the dryer and set it. After getting home after school I'd bolt it to my house to get the sheets an my underwear out the dryer and sheets back on my bed before anyone came home from work .
7. As a teen when it started, NO ONE except one awesome friend that I trusted, and he kept my secret from everyone at school. Other than that, it was my dark secret. As an adult now, my wife of course (share a bed, she had to be told) and just last year my mom.
On my mom, I thought she knew. When a JR in HS she put these foam things on my bed. I thought she knew I was bedwetting occasionally. But in taking with her she had no clue. She knew my mattress was way old and added the foam as support thinking the old mattress was sagging. LOL
When I told her I had been bedwettting since middle school she was totally socked and I was too thinking that she knew was was just being cool about it.
8. From this group? Hoping to realize that I am not the only adult that pees his bed sometimes. I would not mind a meet up with others who have a similar past or are currently dealing with bedwetting. It is still that huge stigma about not having control and wetting your self day or night. So yes that is my hope to know I am not alone and to help others who feel alone.
2. For how long have you had bedwetting problems? 7 years
3. About how often do you wet the bed currently? Every night
4. Do you have any issues with urinary incontinence during the daytime? If so, how often? I have a small dribbling issue sometimes.
5. Do you know or have an idea what causes your wetting problems? Nope, the 2 DR's and urologist can't figure it out
6. What steps do you take to try to manage or control your bedwetting? I wear an adult diaper with plastic backing and layer in 2 soak through pads, over that I wear a heavily cotton padded adult pull up cloth diaper, then high back plastic pants over that. The bed has a vinyl mattress protector. The key is to remember to wear my protection, so if I fall asleep before putting on protection, then I have a problem. If I'm wearing my protection, it's a good night because I'm a very heavy wetter.
7. Who else knows about your wetting issues? my wife
8. What are you most hoping to gain from being part of this group? I get comfort knowing I'm not alone and here is a group who has the same issue, sometimes I get to learn how others deal with different wetting situations. That helps me.
