  I went yesterday to my tribunal, where they were deciding whether or not a crime HAD been committed against me, whether I was to be believed and whether I was entitled to compensation (this I was not as bothered about.)They asked their questions, they listened to my responses. They had read all the awful statements from my family.They asked me to leave the room while they deliberated. Normally it takes fifteen to twenty minutes.   Well, went to my CICA tribunal today and was given the witness statements from my case. It was soul destroying to read. My Aunt said in her statement that the only reason I reported to the police was to pull focus from my Grandparents' Golden Wedding Anniversary. That I had a history of attention seeking behaviour.   Hi there,HD runs in my husband's family, his grandmother has it, we don't know if his mother has it and he decided to go for the genetic test. He gets his results in two weeks and I am going along with him to support him. I guess I'm just wanting advice on how best to support him? He says he isn't bothered by the outcome, that he only wants to know so he can plan...but I can't help but feel that is a front..? What can I do for him?

  I was away for a while, had my beautiful baby boy in March. I thought I was doing well...but I was lying to myself. I have a hearing date coming up to appeal the decision not to award me criminal injuries compensation. I don't even want it. I didn't come forward and report because I wanted compensation, I did it because I wanted to see that b*st*rd get what he deserved. I resent my family for siding with a relative stranger. I resent my mother for staying with him, and for excusing him...
