  reached the point of no return. My girlfriend of 7 years has dealt with my addiction until now when for the many times I can't pay rent. I went to the casino the other day and won money and then lost that and 3x that today. She caught me and has said she is done... I guess I don't blame her but feeling very alone. Addiction is real and it's so lonely

  I've been struggling with alcoholism for many,many years. My biggest problem is once I start drinking I won't stop until I pass out. And these situations are happening much more frequently. I've even stayed home from work just to enjoy a bottle of vodka for the day and "relax". I started hiding alcohol from my significant other and things were going down hill. I recently had an episode where I was flying home from a business trip and when my girlfriend came to pick me up- I was a mess! I don't...

  anyone know what I mean by that? Lying about going to the casino, how much they lost and lying about the stress and consequences that follow? Lying to others, lying to themselves? Been there for so long, that it feels like the norm to me but trying to dig my way out to an honest and healthy place. Not easy but trying....

  i just read a post about someone who self banned themselves from the casino. Does anyone know how that works? I have struggled with this addiction for so many years. Need to try something different. I'm new to this group. I have reached a place where I'm not even sure that I'm gambling for a "thrill" anymore although of course I dream about winning enough to cover the last time I made poor gambling decisions. But even if I do, I just keep going. There is no real "winning" for me. At this point...
