  I posted this morning about my husband’s cancer, while he was out shoveling snow. Obviously he is doing well...However, I have more to discuss. My sister had a seizure on New Years Eve and as a result had brain surgery Jan 2nd. She is just 65. The tumours were melanoma- that’s right: the brain is not the primary site, but cancer came from some external starting point they can’t find. Over the last 11 months she has had many serious events: seizures where she was in ICU for 6 weeks, her...

  Am not really coming to terms with his diagnosis

  Early This spring, my husband was diagnosed with a rare and incurable cancer. He has had two major surgeries to "debulk" tumours, and has recovered quite well from both. The only therapy he has is a monthly injection of a medicine which is supposed to put the cancer into "hibernation". In fact, he is in great shape; No weight/muscle loss, all his hair (he is a silver fox!) and not really any pain nor symptoms of the cancer beyond residual surgical healing.He doesn't really discuss his fears...
