  The dog is happy I am here. I am more used to interacting with my pets alone. Just saying my pets and not our pets makes the tears start. I know they were affected. They rely on me. They do not seem as worried. I come home every day. They can not really tell me how they feel. I was not supposed to be this way.

  But why did she die that day, that is my question. I was there. Was she already gone when I came to visit? I think so. I was in the room during the code. I have always been on the other side since I was a nurse for years. They asked me if me if I wanted to leave. Not a chance. Anger is a part of grief. Who can I be angry with? Did the staff not check on her? Would it made any difference? I now wait for autopsy results. I do not know if I will ever now what happened that day. She is gone. I need...

  No life insurance. No will. Did we talk about final plans? Not really. Life goes by every day. Why did we not get things organized? Who am I angry with? I am angry with myself. Am I doing the right things for her? Would she be angry with me? I did not get to say goodbye.

  My wife recently died. She had been ill for awhile but I never expected her to leave now. I remember the things we had planned. Little things nothing really special. I miss the every day conversation that had little meaning except to the two of us. I miss sharing the events of my day. I can tell my friends but it is not the same.
