  Hey everyone, Do most of you experience GAD in episodes or is it chronic? My entire life I've only had panic attacks. Two years ago I started having panic that lasted day after dayafter day. It was severe. I upped my antidepressant dosage, took Lorazepam for a few months and was back to "normal." Now, it's happening again. I can only assume that htese are episodes of GAD with depression (I add in depression because these episodes make me suicidal in the beginning- before meds are upped). I'm...

  The past few days have taught me that when I absolutely have to be focused on other things, and I have a chance to break the cycle of negativity, I forget about my anxiety! That has been empowering. I know the anxiety will come back and this hasn't "cured" me by any means, but it feels so good to be reminded that nothing is inherently "wrong" with me. That if I can find peace and distraction, I find peace from the anxiety. I know episodes of GAD have waves and windows. However, I'm still hoping...

  Today I did absolutely nothing. Some days I can do a full studying routine, clean the house and make dinner. Today, I just had no desire to keep my routine. I know I'm supposed to keep on a routine during anxiety and depression, but some days are so hard. I'm hoping tomorrow I can be a bit more motivated. Trying not to be too hard on myself, or scare myself into thinking something is wrong with me because I am so unmotivated.

  When any of you are in a bad episode of GAD, are you able to function? Some days I can get up and do everything on my list, and other days, like today, I just lay in bed watching tv. I can't seem to get any desire to do anything. Is it me and I'm just lazy or is it the anxiety and depression? I just need to know I'm not alone in this.
