  Depression isn't about feeling down or just not feeling good. It's important for yourself to accept you have some deamons in your closet. It's important for your family to know about the deamons you are facing. They need to know how exactly you are feeling inside. It's important to make sure you love yourself before you can love anyone else. You should never feel alone sometimes you need a few days to get away and take care of yourself.   A  little over a year ago I was in a really rough spot. I was in a relationship where he didn't care about my emotional well being where he only mattered. He would control every aspect of my life. I had to leave all my friends behind I wasn't allowed to go out unless he approved of it. He would always put me down and judge me for what I would wear.   I am a 20 yer old female. I never really believed I was depressed. I was always the happy friend of the group but here lately I haven't been myself. I reached out to my boyfriend and I let him in on my past. He knew I had had a rough life growing up. I lost my sister at the age of 16 due to addiction I gained my neice as a child.
