  I am reading a book by Susan Amderson about abandonment. She talks about the feeling of inferiority with regards to the person who has left, how so often we put the other person on a pedestal. For many people this feeling goes away, we can even find someone who is better than the person who left us. My divorce was 35 years ago and I still struggle with this.   I have a lot of problems with issues such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, co-denpendency, insecurity but I think my main issue is abandoment. And when the abandoment feelings come, it triggers all the other issues. I don't have any idea of what caused this or when but it seems to have been a always part of my life.
