Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Does anyone have a lot of anxiety over making changes, like life changes? Trying to control the outcome of a change, whether it be change of where you live, new job, starting a new course of study. A lot of my anxiety and stress at the moment comes down to financial stress (which is understandable) yet I have irrational fears, for example my lease is running out in about 3 months time, yet I fear I will have nowhere to live? Or if I sign a new lease at the end of this one I'll be stuck in something. I am at a turning point in life where I want to do something different with my life, and I am confused and trying to make plans but I am unsure of what I really want to do yet...and with that uncertainty I am trying to control the outcomes...it's a bit ridiculous. Believe it or not I'm on the calmer side of all of it now...but I've never been a person who can 'take things as they come.'

Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
Keeping it human. . .
I recovering control freak. I've been working on it for allot of years, but I have gotten better with the therapy tools for managing my control freakitis far more than I have been able to *Cure* it, even with the ample evidence I have accumulated to show that the less I try to control, the more control I have. Ya can't keep a bicycle upright if I am constantly swatting at every fly I pass.
Gentle empathy, Pattern. Taking things as they come doesn't come natural to me, either, but the days without that long list of stress symptoms are worth the effort of learning.
