  Hi! I'm feeling pretty good today.  I had my second IUI last Saturday and we were very busy after! I am trying to think positively here but I'm also trying to not get excited.  I keep reminding myself that what is meant to be will be here.  I was so disappointed after my first clomid and IUI cycle.  I just thought it would work.  In my head if everything was aligned with me and my husbands numbers were off the charts then BOOM, pregnant! My doctor didn't tell me that the statistics are...

  I just had a blow out fight with my husband about genetic screening. If we had gotten pregnant naturally I’m not sure if I would have gotten the genetic screening. Since that didn’t happen, I figured what the heck just add it into the tests. It turns out that I’m a carrier for spinal muscular atrophy, which seems pretty detrimental and leads to early death of babies born with it. The combination of our first clomid and IUI cycle plus finding out this has put me over the edge.   So we’ve been trying for 16 months and in February did our first clomid and IUI cycle. I had the IUI exactly 2 weeks ago. We were also active prior to the IUI and after. I was very hopeful! I know that this process only increases the chances by a little but I just thought it was going to work.My optimism made me believe that if my ultrasound looked good and my surge was there, then bam, Baby! I thought after 16 months of TTC we just needed a little help. I mean since all of my test results...
