  Things are going great / now need to stay on the right track to keep everything in place - my life is where I want it right now ... I must take it day by day to continue and not let old habits take away my happiness!!

  Feeling strong and healthy! Loving being in control and present... I never want to go back to the dark place where alcohol controls me and I know I need to be vigilant to stay here - day by day ❤️

  Glad to be up early and sober! No driving desire to go get alcohol just thinking about my day and all the things I have to get done ... focusing on being healthy inside and out - so happy to be in the moment and enjoying my family and responsible - alcohol steals those things !

  another day to do the right thing! Some flu is going around my family so today will be a caretaker day - so grateful to be able to do this! So much living to do! One day at a time!

  so happy to be saying that! Every day gets better - my husband is in a business trip and he worried when he left if I would be ok - so happy to report I was and am! One sunny day (or rainy ) at a time!❤️

  How much better do I feel than 3 weeks ago? Waking up in the morning planning my coffee and dog walk vs how to get to the store to buy alcohol? Ugh! The thought makes me feel ill - happy to be counting the positive days and being present and responsible- no worried looks from my family, no stress - just love and support. Such a better place to be!

  On my way to three weeks! What a difference from where I was 3 weeks ago! Waking up feeling eager for the day, no guilt, no shame - it is a gift! Now focusing on being as healthy as possible and embracing every moment of my life, one day at a time... The mornings are never usually a problem for me with craving - it is 5 PM that I have to be vigilant about - a glass of wine while I cooked dinner was a treat I looked forward to - now it's ice tea.

  Went to a small party a good friends house last night - everyone was having beer (which I have never liked) Anyway, I felt just fine drinking water (which people were also having) One guy was pretty hammered from earlier in the day ( the rest of the crowd was mildly embarrassed/amused by him) It was a good reminder of how very silly you can be when intoxicated! I won't lie I have enjoyed many a glass of wine in my past but looking for the positive's of just being! Day by Day 2 weeks and...

  So good to come here first thing in the morning to get my head on straight! So many things to be grateful for - especially in this day and age of so many man made and natural disasters... every moment is a gift. I must take it moment by moment, day by day.
