  Went and got a weave yesterday. I'm happy to have hair and look  so much better. The comb overs were getting to be a bit much and not very successful at that. Going out in the world feeling much more confident. For this trial I will see how I deal with this .....how my alopecia is doing and my over all mental condition.

  I have been losing my hair for the past 5 weeks. Just found out I have alopecia 2 weeks ago.I was treated with cortisone, but have had more holes appear andam continuing to shed.I have a formal banquet this weekend I dread going to.Im having a hard time covering up all the holes and please hope there is no rain or wind.I have to keep myself out there, but continue to learn about alopecia and learn to live with it.Im very self conscious and I cry alone in the bathroom putting my rogain...

  I have been losing my hair for 5 weeks now. I have 14 holes on my head.It is getting harder to cover them up. I too have had blood tests to check my thyroid leveland it is fine. I am asking my dermatologist for a possible biopsy to find out what type of alopecia i have.I also started cortisone treements 2 weeks ago. The more I read and go onto peoples blog sites I am hearing the same things. Blood work came back ok.Did Cortisone for 4 years, as soon as they stopped their hair fell out.UV...
