  Hey I just had my follow-up ultrasound for a dvt below the knee. It looks stable and hasn't increased in size :) Sonographer said that he thought clexane (low molecular heparin) could help dissolve a clot. But I've seen info that says it only stops new clots forming. I've had two leg operations since June last year and am so: over this/keen to get moving/frustrated (all the things everyone else probably feels). Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  Hi does anyone know the definition of a deep vein? I have a 10cm clot in my posterior tibial vein which according to everything I can find on the net is definitely a 'deep vein.' However, when I spoke to my doc the other day he wasn't so sure as my ultrasound report says something about it not being in the "deep venous system." I just assumed that was a copy and paste error from a set of standard words. I'm currently only taking aspirin and wearing compression socks for the clot. The doc said...
