  I made my first suicide attempts in fourth grade. I was eight or nine. I remember it so clearly... Yet not. I tried to strangle myself with the fabric belt of a robe. The only reason I didn't go is because the knot kept giving out. I couldn't take the bullying at school, the emotional abuse at home, and my family's financial instability, as my dad had lost his job that year.
