  So I am going for a follow up appointment at the dermatologist on Friday. I went 6 weeks ago and left in tears as I feel I didn't speak up enough. He was young and good-looking and I was embarrassed to show my sore in my armpit. I haven't been able to shave and I always wear long sleeves now, needless to say I wasn't comfortable. He was very arrogant and knocked down anything I said about diet being a factor, or not wanting to go on another bout of antibiotics. Long story short, anything I said...

  Dermatologist/Laser Hair Removal Questions

  Hi, for those of you that have tried laser hair removal. I have heard a lot of success stories now. I saw a dermatologist two weeks ago (it was not a positive experience, he shot down everything I said about HS). When I mentioned laser hair removal his response was "not related." I was actually hoping to get some of it covered by insurance as it would be for a health reason not an aesthetic reason, but I'm not hopeful because of his reaction. Anyone have the treatment and had it covered? If so...

  Just looking for some insight. I've been dealing with a flare up in my armpit for about six months, where it never opened up but was very painful. It's my first flareup and I'm just learning about HS. It opened up almost 2 weeks ago and has been draining ever since. Should I push on it to make it drain more? Or is that bad? Also, do they ever go away, or will I have constant open sore at all times? Am I able to shave this area? I've read some articles that shaving is bad and can cause flare...

  Hi Everyone, I am 29 years old and was diagnosed with HS this week. I've been dealing with two small bumps in my armpit for 6 months, and my doctor couldn't figure out what it was.
