Been a hard month..

Hey guys. It's been a hard time lately. For the past month or so, I've had what feels like little cuts in my right armpit. I already can't shave, I can't wear a bra (I tried yesterday) and it's gotten to the point I am in pain wearing regular t shirts. The sleeve rub on it. I am wearing my only long sleeved shirt to try and help. This morning my left armpit is starting to feel the same. I am barely making it through with hownits been, I don't want to imagine double pain. My doctors office has been closed because we got a lot of snow, so I haven't been able to see my doctor. Plus I'm having something (I think) unrelated happening under my stomach/groin area. I'm extra tired today, I've been nauseous (is that part of hs?) and just extra depressed. I already have depression and anxiety and it's been getting worse. Today is just a very bad day. What kinds of vitamins can my husband get me today from Walmart to help? I'm trying to positive and I want to get better!! I'm just so so overwhelmed guys.

I'm sorry you're going through that, especially since you can't get to your doctor. I know all too well about clothes irritating my skin. I have to put gauze under my armpit to make my days bearable. I've been reading that a lot of people are taking Turmeric. I personally haven't tried it myself, but after my appointment Monday, I'm going to ask her & see what she recommends, it can't hurt to try though. I feel like I'm running out of options. Have you tried switching up your diet? I'm in the process of that. Staying positive is much easier said than done, I'm experience high's and low's, I honestly feel crazy, but I know I'm not. I've been doing my research on HS & reading stories from other people & it actually helps, you won't feel so alone.

You prob need to seek help if it gets worse. Arm pit is one of the most painful areas to deal with Bc of the nerves and sweat glands. Putting heat to your arm pit will prob make things worse I'm going through the same thing for a year now.

I have have been getting nauseous too, I'm wasn't it sure if that was part of it but if we are both having this then probably it's gotten to the point where I can't lift up my arms all the way anymore they never heal. Maybe try some anti inflammatory foods to help and you could possibly have bacteria like an infection in your blood stream thats making you feel so sick to your stomach, I don't know, I'm probably not helping, I'm sorry I hope you get the feeling better hang in there you're tough

I have/had hs severely in my armpits. They were unbearable for years with constant sores, draining, cuts, etc. I feel your pain. I learned that over the counter vitamins didn't help. I have been using doTERRA Lifelong Vitality vitamins for almost 4 years and swear by them.

I used to get 4-6 outbreaks a week and have only had about 6 the past 3 1/2 years.

I suffer flareups in my armpit as well. I've had one that has been open and slowly draining for months now. I understand the pain, fabric rubbing on the area, lifting your arms above your head, lifting anything slightly heavy. All of these regular movements are painful and uncomfortable. I do take turmeric every morning, I think it may help with preventing further swelling, but I see the most inporovmement when I avoid foods that cause swelling. Research foods that are anti-inflammatory and do some research on foods that cause swelling. Everyone has a different reaction to different foods so it comes down to experimenting.

Thanks guys. I'm going to try and see a nutritionist to help with my diet. I've been taking turmeric twice a day.

I added heat to my thigh, just have been having a rash in my armpits. It's starting to heal. I've gone a week without deodorant and I haven't been using my normal scented body wash when I shower.

I can't afford $80 a month for vitamins. My family lives paycheck to paycheck and there is no extra money.

Please try to avoid sugar and see if that helps. I wouldn't eat any food with more then 5grams of sugar in it. Read your labels it's amazing how much sugar even ketchup has. That was such a huge trigger for my HS. Also give phosphorus drops a try. My heart breaks for your suffering. I know the pain. Stay strong!

Avoid sugar, YEAST and dairy. Your HS will thank you dearly. And when I said avoid, I mean don't have any at all. Try it for about 30 days and let us know if it clears and the pain subsides.

please please please try going gluten free!! you just cut out breads, pastas, cookies, snack cakes, etc (you can do research) and it's helped me IMMENSELY!! message me for more details and I'd be happy to help!

My dermatologist says my nausea is from Hs. As well as exhaustion or sleeping 91st too much. She said if i get feverish and sick feeling I need to go to er. They don't do anything if you go in though at least here in ND for feeling feverish. I also experience what I can only describe as heat stroke if i start sweating even in a store. She said it is from the amount of surgeries I've had done and that my armpits have no sweat glands anymore.
