Hello all, 


Recently I started taking a zinc supplement, to my suprise some of my lesions healed right away. This is suprising because the lesions have been open lesions for long period of time. The supplement is in no way stopping my outbreaks however even some healing is a plus. I have stage 3 HS, pretty sure if there was a stage 4 I would qualify. My outbreak even affects my scalp and previous c-section incision! And of course the normal locations. This little tiny bit of relief is worth taking a zinc supplement daily.  Thought I would share. Also does anyone else suffer terrible night sweats?????

I try to keep a fan pointed on me all night or I sweat a lot. If I wake up and fell either the drainage from sores or night sweats I uncover as long as possible until I start getting chilly.

I just started taking zinc picoinage two days ago. I like yourself am in stage 3. So happy its given you some relief, and am praying it will for me.

I actually am in remission from just cutting out nightshades. Some of us may have to cut out other stuff I don't know, but for me it was just the shades. I did it for two weeks and everything flattened out within two weeks. I still flair when I sneak or accidentally eat one, but ya all good. I havn't tried zinc out all, but tried every prescrition drug and every cream, all of which had no effect for more then 3 months. Hit me up if you have any questions. They hide in everything so you have to be hyper vigilant.

Can you give the specific details on the zinc supplement? What brand? How much do you take amd how often? Thanks!

I did used to have night sweats though, it was scary with a fever because I had no idea why I was so sick. Also I had really bad GERD, or acid reflux, my stomach always hurt after I ate. Ended up in the ER once.

I tired the supplements didn't do anything but maybe I didn't take enough...now I use head and shoulders (zinc pyrithione) as a wash and it is great.

I posted this on a previous post, but I'll post it here as well. Getting rid of nightshades helped along with dairy. Main triggers for me were tomatoes and potatoes. ANYTHING with tomatoes and potatoes. Tobacco is a nightshade - I stopped smoking, which I believe also helped tremendously. Milk would affect my buttock area - So cut milk out of my diet. I would purposely trigger outbreaks with certain foods and milk so I feel like it's definitely proven for me. I take 1000mg of Vitamin C and 50mg of Zinc daily. If I do slip up with the diet and an outbreak happens, a turmeric paste (water + turmeric) will drain the boil for me within a few hours. This does stain your clothes and hands. Once I've drained it, I'll take a warm shower and dry myself and apply Tea Tree Oil to start the healing process. It will sting a little bit when applying. I've had HS since puberty. Started under my arm pits and somehow spread down to my waist area and finally to my inner thighs. Very rare for me to get anything under my arm pit area and my waist nowadays. A few years since I've had boils there. Would love to share experience with you guys and see if we can give each other tips. Message me.
